HDFC Bank — Chnage of minimum balance account status

Hi, The understanding that i get from your mail is that my account has by default has been converted to a minimum balance Rs.10, 000/- account. Now my questions regarding this issue are: 1. Does the bank not communicate the same to the customer/account holder? 2.Is it not the bank's responsibility to ensure that a customer is informed before such debits start happening from his/her account? 3.The commitment between the bank and me was of a minimum balance of Rs.5000. Now the bank at its own free will changes the commitment to Rs.10, 000 and expects me to comply with the same. How am i supposed to do this? How am i supposed to get the extra money and let it remain stuck? 4.Tomorrow if the bank at its own free will decides to change it to Rs.1, 00, 000, am I supposed to comply with that too with no say of my own? 5. Is this not sheer harassment from the bank's side? 6.How do I remain sure that if the bank can go against its commitment over here and works at free will, it will not do the same with all my other investments and they are safe? 7. How professional is this that a Bank as reputed as yours does this to its own customer?I need a solution to my problem here. Is the bank ready to provide the same? If not, then i am sorry to say that i will be taking this up at other higher levels and media as well because it is extremely difficult for a common man like me to manage funds this way. Hoping to get a revert.
