My father Dr. Ravi Kumar was a customer of HDFC bank and had an HDFC Regalia credit card with a limit of above 10 lac.
While selling this card, HDFC bank had told my father that this came with an add-on road and air accidental life insurance. In order to prove to my father that they weren't making things up, they shared this link with him -

which clearly states the rules of insurance and how to apply.
My father met with a road accident on 29th Mar 2021 in which he passed away and my mother who was traveling with my father in the car was also seriously injured with a head injury and multiple other fractures in the chest, arm, elbow, and needed intensive care.
After the passing of my father when I got in touch with HDFC they first said that my father was not a customer of HDFC bank, even when I presented them the credit card, then they said that there was no insurance applicable for this. Then they started harassing me for payment of credit card bill of my deceased father, WHICH IS PAID IN FULL WITH INTEREST WITHOUT ANY NEGOTIATION OR SETTLEMENT.
Till date I have
* made multiple visits to their local branch,
* presented them with the snapshot of an sms of "nominee updation" confirmation,
* wrote multiple emails to them on 4 different HDFC email ids,
* raised this issue on twitter
but nothing has happened and again I am told to raise this issue on a new 5th email ID.

It's devastating that my family has to go through this after unexpectedly losing our loved one
