[Resolved] HDFC Bank — Closing of account - Savings

Hi, I have an account in SECTOR 62 NOIDA from HDFC. The account balance is now negative because of not maintenance of Minimum Monthly Average balance Currently I am living in Bangalore near Sarjapur Road and visited the HDFC branch on Sarjapur Road Bellandur Gate. Advisor by name Vadiraj Rao advisised me to payup the negative balance amount before closing the account. I am really surprised. If the account is negative and if I want to close it why should i pay the balance again? Please advice. Regards, Uday
