Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to file a formal consumer complaint against HDFC Bank regarding an unauthorized loan that has been processed, the holding of amounts from my account without disbursing the loan amount, and issues related to Demand Drafts (DDs) I have repeatedly raised concerns about. Despite my continuous attempts to resolve the matter, I am still facing charges and receiving recovery calls from your team.

Summary of the Issue:
1. Unauthorized Loan Charge: I was shocked to discover that HDFC Bank has charged my savings account for a loan under the loan account number [protected]. However, despite this charge, the loan amount has not been credited to my account. I have no knowledge of this loan and did not authorize any such transaction.
2. Unexplained Charges: The amount was debited from my account, but no loan amount has been credited to my account. The bank continues to generate EMIs for this loan, which is completely unexplainable when the loan amount has not been credited to my account. I am unsure how these EMIs are being calculated and generated.
3. Demand Draft (DD) Issues: I have repeatedly requested the cancellation of any DDs related to this loan, but to date, HDFC Bank has failed to take any action regarding this. The DD Number 568005, valid until 10th March 2025, is still active, and the bank continues to hold the amount linked to this DD, causing further inconvenience and distress.
4. Lack of Response from the Bank: Despite sending multiple emails and contacting HDFC Bank’s customer service numerous times, requesting cancellation of the loan and cancellation of the DDs, there has been no proper response from the bank, and no resolution has been offered.
5. Recovery Calls: I have been receiving continuous calls from the HDFC Bank recovery team, demanding repayment for a loan that I did not apply for, and which has not been credited to my account. This is causing unnecessary stress and harassment.
What I Need from HDFC Bank:
1. Immediate Reversal of Amount Debited: The amount that was debited from my account should be immediately reversed, as the loan was unauthorized, and no amount was credited to my account.
2. Clarification of EMI Generation: I request a clear explanation of how the EMI is being generated for this loan, considering that the loan amount has never been credited to my account.
3. Cancellation of Demand Draft (DD) Number 568005: I request the immediate cancellation of DD Number 568005, valid until 10th March 2025, and the refund of any amounts held due to this DD.
4. Halt Recovery Actions: I request that all recovery actions and calls from the HDFC recovery team be halted immediately until this matter is properly investigated and resolved.
5. Written Confirmation: I expect a written confirmation from the bank regarding the cancellation of the loan, the reversal of the charges, and the resolution of the DD issue.
