It’s been approx. one month since I made online application for a new credit card.
Following which your executive Chandu called from Ranigunj, Secunderabad branch to collect all the requisite documents and process the application. I’ve provided each and every document that was asked. I had even offered to provide address proof but Chandu informed that is not mandatory. Thereafter, I’ve waited for 2-3 weeks with no information and only after several follow-ups (with Chandu and Kiran Kumar who collected the documents) and inquiries with the call center I was told that the application is ‘On hold’ for no address proof. I again reached out to Chandu and he informed me that this is a new process and that address proof documents are now mandatory.
On knowing this I immediately arranged address proof documents on the same day of 25-Sep and it was again collected by Kiran Kumar from me. It’s been ~2 weeks now and when I inquired with the call center today I was shocked to hear that the application is rejected without any information
nor valid reason.
I’m now worried that the documents collected from me are for reasons other than credit card processing. Hence, I’m not interested any more in getting my credit card processed but instruct your team to return all my original documents with a declaration that none of the information would be used for purposes other than credit card processing for which they were originally collected from me.
Please reply immediately within next 24hours else I will take this matter up with HDFC Consumer Complaint cell.
