I have requested to block my HDFC credit card about a year ago & the card got blocked.
Now after a year, they have sent me a bill with which includes the renewal charges, along with the new card number which I have never received.
When I called them they are like you have blocked the card but not closed the card account, (If you have not closed the account, why you didn't sent me the new card, what's the logic of not providing service & charging on it) & when I asked them to close the card account they said they need to send a form to Chennai (which form they are not ready to confirm).
I do not understand if you have blocked the card, what is the relevance of keeping an account & unnecessary charging on that account.
This is simply unacceptable, & customer care people are so pathetic they don't even know which department is handing such query, they just kept on transferring the call to multiple people.
Kindly get this issue solved asap.
