[Resolved] HDFC Bank — credit card closure | |||
My name is ashwani, i paid all my outstanding bills for my credit credit card ending in 4983 in december. And immediately dropped closure form. Since then i have dropped it thrice. Despite of closing my card. I'm just getting bills and late fine on those bills. I don't want to pay this much amount when i have not committed any mistake. Why is hdfc trying to fool customers? I never expected this from such an organisation. It is a shame and disappointment. No one is willing to take my complaints. I'm too frustrated that now i don't want to stay with hdfc. Verified Support Jan 19, 2019 HDFC Bank Customer Care's response Dear Customer, We note that as on date we are not in receipt of closure letter. We wish to clarify that, payment of atleast the minimum amount due towards the card outstanding needs to be received by the bank to ensure that the card account is active and available for usage. Further, to avoid levy of finance charges and late payment charges, payment of the total outstanding needs to reach the bank by the payment due date. In the rare event, if you are still contemplating card discontinuance, we request you to forward us a duly signed letter to the following address to enable us to do the needful.
