HDFC Bank — credit card closure | |||
My credit card was lost and online i hotlisted the card. I selected option of do not reissue as i intend to discontinue the card. I had kept this card to avail airport lounge facility etc. Which bank claims to provide, however can never be availed as card does not permit. Now i'm being forced to receive a new card, my instruction being loud and clear that discontinue my card. Bank officials are harassing me with below actions: 1. I'm being asked to provide diagonally cut card — how can i do it if i've upfront told that it is lost and hotlisted. 2. I'm forced to complete formalities for visiting bank, filling card closure form. Even if i try, i don't have the card details for new card which is claimed to be issued to me, i have not asked for a new card at all. 3. Unnecessarily delaying the process. I have contacted bank officials, customer service, escalated it in query section, still no resolution. Horrible experience and i feel like being harassed for taking a decision to block one of their cards being imposed on me. Was this information helpful? | |||
