I am so disappointed with HDFC Bank’s processing of my mobile number update. My international mobile number was updated sometime in early 2020. However it was correctly updated partially only for savings bank account. For credit card it somehow missed the international code which is disabling OTPs to reach me. I do get OTPs for my bank account transaction on the same number but not for credit card.
I did not know about this incorrect update of ISD code until an attempt to deliver my new credit card was made in mid Sep 2020, when due to this issue, I didn’t receive OTP and Bluedart couriers guy refused to deliver the card.
To fix this issue, I reached out to HDFC Credit Card Customer Care, my HDFC Relationship Manager, Grievance redressal and escalation point of contacts to no avail. Since then I have been struggling to get the number updated. At the end, I was told to reapply through a physical application for change of contact.
I dropped filled in and signed application form at Sec61 Noida bank drop box. And today received an email from HDFC credit card ops that there is a mismatch of my signature in the application and their records. This is ridiculous!
I live in USA and find it so difficult to get my contact information updated CORRECTLY. Why at first place data entry guys missed to update with the expected country code?
Can I expect my issue resolved as soon as possible as I not able to use my credit card for the last TWO years and it feels like there is no one to hear my voice.
