[Resolved]  HDFC Bank Credit Card — harassment calls for payment of dues

Dear sir,

Due to unavoidable circumstances i have not been in a position to pay my credit card bill for hdfc. I have written to them asking for a months extension and i have been getting harrassing and abusive calls. I have two sick parents and a young baby at home and such kind of harrassing calls are causing extreme distress at home.. Pls help

We are hopeful you will appreciate that payments for atleast the minimum amount due is required to reach the bank by the payment due date to keep the account in regular status. We wish to clarify that the bank, establishes regular contacts and visits with our customers in the course of normal business to keep them updated on the status of their card and also facilitate payment of any outstanding. In the absence of receipt of payment towards your card account, our representatives had established contact or visit with you. We wish to assure you that the calls were made only to remind you of your payment obligation. However, the same is not meant to cause any inconvenience to you. We confirm that there are no buffer days for credit payment. We confirm that, payment towards the Total Amount Due reflecting as per the statement has to be paid by the payment due date to avoid levy of charges.
