[Resolved] HDFC Bank — credit card is blocked but not closed
My credit card got blocked 1 year back due to some "unauthorized international transaction" that i have made, which i have no idea about. Let it be. When i reapply for a new card to hdfc they are telling me that i already hold a card, so i have to do card limit enhancement instead. But no such service is possible for this card even via netbanking as it is blocked. When i try contacting hdfc phonebanking, they asks for credit card number to talk to them. But with my card number that facility is not available. When i try with my friend's card, the call will get connected and i got chance to explain my issue more than 4 times. But when they hear my issue, they will ask for my card number and ask me to wait. The call will get disconnected after few minutes. This is the hdfcbank puonebanking customer service. So, recently my friend suggested me to fill a card closure form of hdfc and put it to some atm drop box. I have done that, and have been waiting for more than one month now. I reapplied for credit card again last week thinking that the card would have closed but got the same mail from hdfc saying that "i hold a card, try enhancing the credit limit instead". Even if apply for any other bank, application is getting rejected, just because of this blocked credit card i hold. Have been suffering because of hdfc for more than one year. Please help me in this issue. Please unblock the credit card, or close the credit card, or reissue another credit card. Was this information helpful?
