[Resolved] HDFC Bank — credit card payment related harassment | |||
I had due payment of rs. 3, 850/- for my credit card with the date of payment 3rd aug. Few weeks back someone called prasenjit sur started calling me up and harassing me for the payment without even asking why the payment was delayed. His tone and language were indecent to say the least. The person even had the audacity to threaten to visit my place and do whatever it takes to extract the payment. He claimed to be from the bank but when i pressurized him he confessed that he is a third party from the collection department. The mobile nos. From which he was calling are [protected], [protected], [protected]. I called up the customer care and they informed me that the hdfc bank does not resort to such practices as engaging people to recover amount. If they have not provided the details about my card number, contact number and address to them then how did they get it? How could they provide my personal details without my consent to a third party? Do banks have this right to abuse their customers like this? Was this information helpful? | |||
