[Resolved] HDFC Bank — Credit card - smart pay for LIC | |||
I hold a HDFC bank credit card, platinum money back card [protected]. I had registered for smart pay for LIC with credit card on may month for amt 10, 522. I had already paid the last premium on April to LIC but after registering with smart pay on may month again the premium was paid by my credit card to LIC. Knowing this I had called customer care the very next day and informed about the payment to LIC and asked to cancel the smart pay and asked for a reversal.However the smart pay was cancelled immediately but my request to reverse the LIC transaction was just negotiated. Finally my bill also was generated with entire amt. We kept on calling customer care and asked them to raise a complaint regarding this. The persons just kept on telling we would get reversals before the payment date, but when we called on 3 days before payment date one lady said there was no complaints registered nor a history of phone call seen in our records. We were shocked to hear this and explained the entire story to her and then she had registered a complaint and I have paid 730 rupees as miNimum due to release my card. I am shelling out money from my pocket due to your bank customer care negligence. When I contacted your customer care on July 1st the response is same and we have been asked to pay the entire amt to clear the bill. And the most hectic part is we need to explain the whole story again again to anyone who attends our call. Its not the right way to treat a customer like this. Nevertheless I have skipped my bills so far in past 3 yrs. Now my problem is I couldn't find any development in my complaint and 5th July is my bill generation date. Hope my LIC payment is reversed and as soon as possible. We had got cleared records from LIC staying it's mistake from HDFC bank and not ours. We need a proper solution to the problem were the mistake from our side is nil. Hoping for the best. Was this information helpful? | |||
