On 21st Aug 2023, I received a SMS mentioning that my a/c with customer id 9340xx0 is blocked due to undelivered status address change letter. I have undertaken following steps to get my account unlocked: -
1. Called customer care and they suggested to visit nearest bank.
2. Called my RM, he said he will send an email to concern people and will keep me posted. Nothing happened.
3. On 23rd Aug, I have personally visited my parent branch SUNCITY, Hyderabad & met Mr S Reddy who promised to resolve the issue in 2 working days. No resolution yet.
4. I have again visited the bank today & requested to activate the account.
5. Raised complaint on website. No resolution yet.
I was aghast that how can a pvt ltd bank can deny Govt issued & verified Aadhar address proof. What legality does they hold to freeze the account without any reaction able period. Even IT dept provides couple of months to resolve issues. One sided high headedness from the bank is resulting in extreme challenges to the customers.
My credit card payment was due on 22nd August with adequate funds. HDFC bank further pushes me to pay the due amount after locking my account.
Is our financial liberty is dictated by a courier delivery person who may have missed to contact us with a 2% occupation status apartment like ours. Courier persons do not even call or check if we are out of home for routine work.
I would request that a reckonable lesson be taught to the Pvt Banks like this HDFC bank whose unilateral decisions affect the financial freedom, rights & trasactions of an Indian Citizen.
Hdfc bank should be penalised for lack of services to customer & mental stress caused with no fault of the customer. Was this information helpful? |
