HDFC Bank — escalation: repeated account blocking due to failed address verification

I am writing to escalate an issue that has been causing me repeated inconvenience and distress for the past one month. Despite fulfilling all formalities for my address change, my account continues to get blocked unnecessarily due to failed delivery of the welcome letter.

I recently transferred my account from HDFC Bank’s Siruseri, Chennai branch to the Kanakapura Road, Bangalore branch. A bank official visited my residence and verified my new address as correct and genuine. However, the delivery personnel for the welcome letter neither call nor inform me before attempting delivery, and they directly mark it as “undelivered.” This repeatedly leads to my account being blocked.

Even after reaching out to Ms. Brunda at the Kanakapura Road branch, and completing another successful verification, the same issue occurred again when the delivery failed. This has been happening continuously for the last one month, severely affecting my ability to use my account for essential transactions.
