I recently raised an "Instant" Voucher request from HDFC smart buy. And in turn received the worst customer service ever possible from HDFC Bank and its partner in crime Gyftr (Vouchagram India Pvt Ltd).
My money was instantly credited and that is where it ended. There is no further communication from both the firms regarding service or delivery of the voucher.
The customer helpline of instant voucher is an IVR of 25 seconds which only says that it has registered a complaint. Ticket number[protected]
The complaint then is registered with a resolution time promised of 30 minutes. Post 30 minutes HDFC requested me time to extend it for another 2 hours. Post which they asked for 4 hours additional. Finally at 1800 hours (already 8 hours post the purchase) they again asked for 24 more hours to resolve the issue. On the other side, Gyftr fails to recognize any order placed through my number. The company neither has a proper mail working system nor a help center where someone would respond. All I receive is "Technical Problem" and worthless "Sorry".
It seems as if HDFC Bank has trained their team to only consume time and not really resolve any query. For any assistance only reads out the same script no matter what you say. I was on call with them for 90 minutes yesterday and still they didn't give me a resolution or reason for the problem.
It has been 24 hours since I paid for my "instant" voucher. However i have yet not received the voucher while the money has been added to my credit card bill.
The Fact that HDFC Bank can not even service on their own website really shows how RBI was right in stopping them from issuing credit cards. As they cant even process their own transactions correctly. Was this information helpful? |
