[Resolved] HDFC Bank — Fraudulent transaction on my card | |||
I had made a reservation using Booking .com at a hotel Le Roi in Udaipur on 1st December. But we didnt stayed at the hotel. Later i realized that I have been charged for Transaction Amt. (INR) : 68, 979.84 on 22nd Dec. On 28th Dec i got a call from HDFC Customer care that my card have been compromised and they are blocking the same and re-issuing a new one. Further they confirmed to me that the amount would not be paid to the merchant. What i am surprised is that in India, when we have 2 way confirmation system i.e CVV number input and OTP input.
