My name is subroto sengupta, a resident of new delhi, holding a hdfc bank salary account for the last 12 years. I also have a hdfc credit card ending with 4113. I made a last payment in the month of august 2018. Recently, due to some personal problems, i was not being able to receive calls from the collection agent as one of my closed ones was admitted in hospital and we always had to be on our toes.
The collection agent, after not getting me through my cellphone, did not even bother to send me an sms or call me on my landline (Alternate number) and rather chose to deep dive into my saving account statement and called up one of my colleagues to complain that i have not made the payment. May i know this is the professionalism hdfc bank boasts about. I have been making regular payments to the credit card and as i could not take the calls once, how can a collection agent call my colleague and tell him about my debt. Rbi guidelines clearly states the collection agent, under no circumstances can do this. The collection agent is karan singh and his number is +91 [protected]. When i spoke to him after this, he started talking very rudely. Hdfc, sorry to say, nobody looks upto you as a citibank or a hsbc. And this kind of collection tactics makes you the worst. I wish i could pay my credit card bill at one go and end all my ties with your sick bank by closing my salary account as well.
