[Resolved] HDFC Bank — HDFC Bank Negative balance in my account | |||
I opened a salary account in hdfc bank, chennai some 5 years back then after that i have used it for 2 years .After that i moved to hyderabad and opened an other bank account, but i never used that hdfc account from 3 years. Now i am getting email and message from hdfc bank that my account balance -8000 rs . I am totally shocked and worrying about the same .So now how do i need to close the HDFC account . According to new RBI guidelines banks are not supposed to penalise for dormant accounts but when i contacted the customer care they are refraining from closing it saying i have to fill the fine.
