Alert:rs.999.00 spent via credit card xx8451 at amazon1258399 on[protected]:18:41:40 without pin/otp. Not you? Call [protected]. All of a sudden i receive this message. Saying the amount is deducted from my account and when i checked it has actually been deducted. It didn't even ask for any otp. I haven't even ordered anything. Verified Support Dec 20, 2019 HDFC Bank Customer Care's response Dear Customer, We wish to highlight that all E-com transactions initiated through merchants registered in India, we have an added layer of security through VBV & Secure Code. However, specific to the international merchant, it is at the discretion of the merchant to have the said layer of security and the two-factor authentication is not mandated by their respective central bank. As above referred, the transaction is incurred at an international merchant, the 2-factor authentication was not mandated while processing the transactions. -Anay HDFC Bank Customer Assistance | |
