[Resolved] HDFC Bank — I am complaining about negative balance on my account | |||
I was opened my salary account in the hdfc bank after sometime i left that company. The bank converted my salary account into the saving account without informing me and there are charges on that account. My account had not used since opening and was charged for not maintaining balance every month. As per my knowledge if account is not being used for 6 months bank accounts get inactive. Why was my account not automatically inactive after 6 months. Could you please deactivate the account and stop charging further. Verified Support May 29, 2019 HDFC Bank Customer Care's response Dear Customer, We would like to inform you that there is an outstanding charge [AMB, Insta alert etc...] on your account to be recovered. Hence we request you to maintain a sufficient balance in your savings account or transfer the same so that the charges can be recovered. For further assistance on your outstanding charges, we request you to visit your account branch. Due to non-operation for a period of 2 years, your account has been classified as "Dormant". In order to activate your account you are requested to Submit a written instruction signed by all applicants along with ID and address proof at the nearest branch You will need to carry the originals for verification Additionally, you will need to initiate a credit or debit transaction to activate the account To keep your account active, please ensure that the transactions are carried out on a regular basis.
