[Resolved] HDFC Bank — illegal charge imposed late fees | |
I have a hdfc bank dinner card as on 02/2016. My card number is [protected] so my service with hdfc bank is running very good but last april 2018 my mobile phone is lost so i am not received message from hdfc bank and no physical hard copy to my communication address. If my payment was due so hdfc customer care calling me and i deposit immediately my payment but i saw my statement last week hdfc bank credit card department me late fees charges rs. 2550/ yet.in against which amt is nominal for me only rs. 2400/-. I am very disappointment because of i regular depositor of my bills. Service is very worthless for me. Now i want to reverse my late fees charges whichever you impose me i am giving details my transactions"- Dated - 02/05/2018 amt - 2365/- credited by myside Dated 11/05/2015 amt - 500/- debited to late fees Dated 21/05/2018 amt - 6000/- credited by myside Dated 10/06/2018 amt - 750/- debited to late fees Dated 19/06/2018 amt - 4600/- credited by myside Dated 11/07/2018 amt - 500/- debited late fees Dated 10/08/2018 amt - 400/- debited late fees Dated 10/09/2018 amt - 400/- debited late fees Dated 13/09/2018 amt - 2430/- credited by side immediately after your customer care called me Dated 11/10/2018 amt - 400 debited late fees charges I can't understand that i paid regular my amt so how it is possible, charges impose to me. Verified Support Oct 24, 2018 HDFC Bank Customer Care's response Dear Customer, We wish to clarify that, as you are aware payment of at least the minimum amount due towards the card outstanding needs to be received by the bank to ensure that the card account is active and available for usage. Further, to avoid levy of finance charges and late payment charges, payment of the total outstanding needs to reach the bank by the payment due date. Hence, we request you to effect payment towards the total amount due within the payment due date to avoid levy of bank charges. Being sensitized, we have reversed the bank charges of Rs.469.11 billed to your Sep'18 statement and gst billed to your card account remains payable by you.
