[Resolved] HDFC Bank Ltd — auto debit of emi of closed policy | |||
1. I had a home loan from hdfc bank, at the time of sanction of home loan, the bank also gave me a home loan cover policy (Hdfc sl progrowth flexi plan vide policy no: 18866937, dated 26.12.16). 2. Apart from the emi of my home loan, i was also paying a emi of rs 3079/- pm for this policy through auto debit from my account. 3.in november 2017, i requested hdfc bank to provide me foreclosure of my home loan as i was about to close my home loan. 4. The bank provided me the foreclosure report & i deposited the cheque of the same amount to hdfc bank on 19.11.17. 5. The bank asked me to collect my original documents on 11.12.17. 6. On 11.12.17 they didnot give me the original docs but asked me to deposit a sum of rs 2, 92, 090/- to close my another loan account which was nothing other then this my loan cover policy. 7. I asked the bank why should i deposit right now? When i submitted my foreclosure request then why did you not tell me at that time about this amount & i requested them that its not easy for me to arrange a huge amount within a very short period but they did not listen. It was the height of harassment of a customer. 8. Some how i arranged that amount from different sources & deposited to the bank vide cheque of sbi dehradun branch vide cheque no: 465481, dated 19.12.17. 9 the bank gave me the original documents along with the nocs stating that i have no dues including this policy. 10. But it was not the limit, the hdfc bank immediately transfer a sum of rs 3, 00, 000.00 on 05.01.2018 through auto debit (Actual date of auto debit of emi of rs 3079/-was 26th day of every month). 11. When i contacted my sbi branch, they informed that hdfc life has done this transfer. 12. I immediately contacted hdfc bank rajpur road dehradun branch & asked why did they deduct this? While i have already closed this & hdfc has also issued me an noc of this policy. 13. But the staff mr sharma, ms sangeeta & mr avnish tried to make me confused & also insist me to continue with this policy while i have closed this. They said this is your 2nd year installment. 14. My questions are as- A. The policy was for loan cover, if loan is closed out then what is the use of continuing with this policy/ i could not understand. B all loan cover policies are subject to auto closed if someone closes out his her policy. C. Hdfc life did not send me a email informing that my loan has been closed, & policy also if i am interested to continue with this policy then i should maintain a appropriate amount in my account but they did not. D. Now the hdfc is not taking my request seriously while am fallen sick having serious shock as i have lost my money. My immediate/ desirable resolution is- 1. Immediately revert my rs 3, 00, 000/- which they deducted on 05.01.18. 2. Also return my another 3, 00, 000/- which i deposited through emis (Rs 7, 910/-) & through cheque of rs 2, 92, 090/-.
