[Resolved] HDFC Bank — minus balance 8n hdfc salary account

Hi, i have salary account in hdfc 4 years back when i was working at that time. After that i changed company & they provided other bank account. Recently i changed new company. The new company have using only hdfc salary accounts. But my hdfc exsisted old salary account showing -3260 balance.
The bank converts my salary account converted into savings account & charged monthly.. Now its 9000 negative balance. Without my permission how can the bank convert my salary account into savings account? Even they are not intimated verbally... According to rbi guidlines on savings account banks not charge even its negative balance.

With reference to your query regarding the hold amount of your account number 5010xxxxx61231, we would like to inform you that, since your account has been converted into a regular saving account due to non-credit of salary, you are required to maintain an AMB (Average Monthly Balance ) of INR. 10, 000/- in the account. Otherwise, AMB charges will be applicable. As a one-time service gesture, we have waived off the hold amount of INR. 3, 261.28 on 27/08/2019. Please do not fund the account for the next 10 working days to avoid the debit of charges from the account. Please ensure to maintain the required AMB of INR. 10, 000/- or get the account converted into a salary account if your current employer is having a salary account relationship with our Bank to avoid the applicability of AMB charges in future.
