[Resolved] HDFC Bank — negative balance in my account

I did not maintain minimum balance in my hdfc savings account due to money problem. Now my account balance is in negative. Savings account negative balance as per rbi’s directive is not allowed. I dont want this account anymore. I am sure they will levy more and more undue charges in future. I dont want to pay any money. Kindly close my hdfc bank account immediately. Verified Support Dec 17, 2019 HDFC Bank Customer Care's response Dear Customer, Please note the Average Monthly Balance is calculated out at the end of the month. This is the average of the closing credit balance in the Account at the end of each day during the calendar month (i.e. a total of the daily closing credit balance divided by the total number of days during the month). In case this average is less than the minimum prescribed for your account, the charges for non-maintenance will be levied at the beginning of the following month along with the GST at the applicable rates.
