Dear HDFC Credit Card Customer Service Team,
I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to address a concern regarding my HDFC credit card account (Number: [protected] specifically concerning the charges applied to my account.
As per my credit card statement for the billing period ending on September 6, 2023, my total outstanding balance was INR 30, 954. The minimum payment due was INR 1, 550. On August 24, 2023, I made a payment of INR 25, 000, leaving a balance of only INR 5, 954.
However, I noticed that certain charges have been debited from my account, which I believe were incurred erroneously. These charges are as follows:
1. Return Charge: INR 450
2. Finance Charge: INR 1, 115.77
3. IGST: INR 81
Additionally, on September 19, 2023, an IGST charge of INR 200.84 was also levied.
I contacted one of your bank employees, who informed me that these charges were related to the auto-pay option. I understand that the auto-pay option may lead to such charges, but I would like to request your kind consideration in waiving these charges due to the following reasons:
1. The total balance outstanding was promptly paid on time.
2. I have always been diligent in making payments and was unaware that these charges would be incurred due to the auto-pay option.
I kindly request that you review my case and consider waiving the aforementioned charges totaling INR 1, 847.67. I understand that financial institutions have policies in place, but I hope you can make an exception in this instance due to the unique circumstances.
I value my relationship with HDFC Bank and would like to continue using your services without any issues. Your understanding and assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
