[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — Savings account

Dear Sir/Madam, The Gadag branch manager and his team forces customer to do deposit much more than minimum balance required during account opening and even after account is opened. On query Why is this deposit required, Gadag Bank branch manager says this is as per internal policy & required for Debit card charges otherwise my account gets cancelled. He is not able to provide details & am not convinced with his clarification. They are not even fulfilling my request of providing the account passbook which is mandatory to be provided for account holder as per RBI guidelines I hope the HDFC works with transparency & this query will be resolved earliest with clarity.
