HDFC Bank — Unauthorised Transaction after closing the card

My customer number is 70542110.

I closed my credit card ending with 1093 on 30-Dec-2018. I received a confirmation email from HDFC Support that my card is closed and has no outstanding amount. Even Experian credit report also reflects that my card is closed on 30-Dec-2018

On 15 Apr 2021, I get an SMS that I have an overdue payment of Rs 1648. On digging deeper I found that statement generated for March-2021 has an entry o[censored]nauthorized payment. In which transaction of Rs 1049 has happened on 01-Sep-2020, which I am never aware of and never informed.

When my card was closed customer service has asked me to deregister my card. Now, I don't have my card registered in the NetBanking account or physical my card. To keep my credit report clean, I made payment of the overdue amount to the account number mentioned in the Experian report.

To resolve the complaint. I want the unauthorized transaction with all overdue charges to be reversed. Also, I want my money back that I paid to keep my report clean.

Hello,

I didn't receive any valuable response from the bank side yet. Can you tell me when can I expect the case to be resolved? I have already put more than 5 emails to the bank and no one responds with any meaning response. Every mail responds the same text that "Your card is closed on 30-Dec-2018 and has null outstanding as of today". But no one really talks about the refund or unauthorized transaction on the closed card that has happened.

Finally, I have received from HDFC that they temporarily credited the amount 1049 to my account and initiated an investigation from their side. I have two concerns now. First, What about the extra charges like late fees and all. Second, how to take money out of my credit card account since my card is blocked already.
