HDFC Bank — Unauthorized debit card transactions | |||||
I got a call saying that my debit card had not been used for a long time, and it was going to be blocked. if i wanted to stop the card from being blocked, i should act immediately and share my card details. Coincidentally i hadn't actually used my card for a very long time and had recently applied for a new ATM PIN, so i believed the call to be a genuine call. however it was not genuine. Such sensitive information being circulated to an outsider is not at all acceptable. The caller made a lot of forge transactions and debited upto 50, 000 from my HDFC bank account. THe HDFC employees could have been involved in the forgery, as important information was known by the fake caller who calimed to be from HDFC bank itself. Was this information helpful? | |||||
