To clarify, I hold a salary account with HDFC Bank and do not own any credit card, so I fail to understand why these charges have been imposed on my account. I must say, it is quite surprising to see charges being imposed without prior notice or consent, especially when transparency is something one expects from a reputed institution like HDFC. This has caused an unnecessary inconvenience, and I expect the bank to address this immediately.
