[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — unauthorized transactions and its service charges

From hdfc ergo insurance, there was a renewal raised on 12-nov-2018 for rs.8124. Due to this transaction, in my credit card there was a over limit charge of rs.500 raised. When i enquired with hdfc bank through customer service (Ph no[protected] on 13th nov, the agent said, it was the renewal hence the amount was debited. And also the agent advised to me to contact ergo to reverse the entry, once it is debited automatically the over limit charge will be reversed.
Actually, already i sent sms to ergo to cancel it based on their intimation sent to me in sep'18. The renewal amount was not intimated to me and it was automatically debited from my credit card. Though i put around rs.4000 in to my credit card account to avoid additional charges if any.
So again as advised by hdfc bank customer service agent, i sent a mail to ergo and i received the confirmation for the cancellation.
As per the statement, the debit and negative entries are available on the same day (12.11.18) though, the over limit charge is available in the statement on the same day for the excess of rs.4500. I could not understand this if + and - entries are there then why the over limit charge is there for only rs.4500.
On 13th evening, one more reversal entry was enable in the cc account. I called the hdfc customer service agent on 14th and asked to remove the over limit charge. Now the agent said, once the rs.8124 is reversed, the over limit charge will be reversed. But i was not satisfied so i told her to hand over the phone to her manager. The agent said, manager was not there once returned i would be called. But nothing happened. The over limit charge was not reversed.
On 17th one more debit entry created for the amount of rs.8124. So, on 19th i called the customer service and asked about the entry. They said this will not be effected in your statement. The over limit charge also will be reversed. Even though, i said, i wanted to speak with the manager. Now also the same reply received. Till 20th nothing happened neither the reversal of over limit charge nor the manager contacted me.
I do not understand why there is manager for the customer service phone calls since he/she does not want to face the customers.
And apart from that the card is being used since 2005 by me though, they have put an over limit charge and also after my repeated phone calls it is still not reversed.
Just the bank wants to snatch the money from the customers in many ways and does not want to recredit the wrong debit. This is not the first time i faced. Many times it happened and every time i have to call and request them to reverse the wrong entry.
Even in reward points given by bank, whenever a new credit card is issued due to expiry of the old card, to the customer, 50% of the reward points will be reduced. Why they give reward points and why they want to get 50% for the new issuance when the old one is expired? Simply they cheat the customers and snatch the money with the hidden charges. When i go for the pre closure of the personal loan or jewel loan, initially the bank rep will tell only the minimum charge and when i go for the payment, the huge hidden charge will come.
If i do not receive any proper reply, i do not have any option except to close all the accounts in hdfc bank.

It is not yet resolved and more than that my over limit charge has not been deducted due to the EROG trxn. I am surprised why the customer rep was not fully read my complaints.
