Dear sir madam,
This request i am writing to bring to your notice very important fact that
Is happening in credit card banking. I am the best victim of this.
I hold hdfc saving bank account, my security account, and debit card.
Considering hdfc as very good bank and believing that i am previlege customer of
Hdfc, it has offered me credit card.
I was very happy with my debit card but hdfc offered me credit card. Loan account. I was never a defaulter.
However while giving credit card hdfc advised me to select
"minimum amount auto payment" instead of complete amount.
I have selected this as advised.
From last few months i was getting credit interest (3.49 % per month) on my credit account which
Surprised me. This debit intrest is there from many months. When i saw this huge debit interest i asked bank and they very nicely
Said that it is an interest. I have following questions..
1. Being previlege customer hdfc/hdfc (Brm) has not taken single pain to call me and inform
And alert me. I hold huge portfolio in hdfc so why should i pay debit intrest amount. Why should i take loan on 41.5%. Too high.
Rather from my salary i have already repaid my housing loan.
2. Some sms i got on my mobile was so unclear that i could not determine it what exactly happen in my credit card account.
3. Even after so many days of debit balance in credit card hdfc never informed me
Except in statement.
4. Reason for all this is just becuase hdfc was getting interest and hence never
Thought of informing customer.
5. I have doubt that all credit card holders (Mostly geriatric) might have been given
"minimum amount auto payment" option so that they can ignore payment and hence
Debit intrest can be be claimed by bank. This earning seems to be unfair.
6. I have got so many calls for increasing credit call limit, however i did not get any call for the debit interest i am paying.
This earning is basically psychological exploitation of custome7. R. Bank make us dependent on them for all other offers and
Credit card affairs and only for debit interest they won't call. This is unfair and i request ombudsman to look in to such all
Accounts of hdfc.

8. Hdfc also charges interest on interest, which is very ridiculous.
9. Hdfc does not provide any historical statement.
On june 5 in the afternooni have changed the option from "minimum amount pay" to "full amount pay".
My request to hdfc is that this interest should be waved off though i paid this amount upfront without any hiccups.
