HDFC Bank Home Loan — not allowing for pre payment of home loan

I Have taken home loan from HDFC home loan and availed PMAY subsidy after deducting subsidy amount from my principal amount of loan, I visited bank for making some amount of prepayment of my loan but HDFC Home loan Chinchwad, telco road branch refused to take my cheque for pre payment stating I cannot make pre payment till one year as I have taken PMAY subsidy It was no were communicated to me that I cannot make pre payment if I will be taking any such subsidy
