I AM WRITING THIS TO MAKE OTHER FELLOW TRAVELLERS AWARE ABOUT HEER HIMACHAL HOLIDAYS TRAVEL AGENT WHO WAS MENTIONED AS TRAVEL AGENT FOR MY BOOKING FROM DELHI TO KATRA. FOR INFORMATION OF ALL, I HAD BROUGHT AN EXPENSIVE TICKET OF RS 1500 IN VOLVO SLEEPER BUS. BOOKED TICKET ONLINE THROUGH GOIBIBO ASSUMING THAT I WILL HAVE A PLEASANT TRAVEL IN VOLVO SLEEPER BUT I NEVER KNEW THAT I WOULD HAVE TO FACE A BIG NIGHTMARE. I HAD A HARROWING EXPERIENCE TODAY AS BUS DID NOT COME AT THE BOARDING POINT.THIS MIGHT BE A COMMON THING FOR SUCH AGENTS BUT IT IS REALLY SAD TO FACE IT. I ALONG WITH OTHER PASSENGERS (FAMILIES INCLUDING SMALL KIDS/COUPLES) WAITED FOR 5 HOURS FROM 6:30 PM (ACTUAL DEPARTURE TIME) TO 11:30 PM NEAR RAMAKRISHNA METRO STATION. DURING THE INTIAL 1 HOUR OF DELAY WE WERE TOLD BY BUS OPERATOR THAT BUS IS STUCK IN TRAFFIC AND WOULD REACH AT THE BORADING POINT IN SOME TIME. POST 90 MINUTES OF DELAY, TRAVEL AGENT WAS NOT REACHABLE OVER PHONE AND EVERYONE WAS CLUELESS ABOUT THE BUS ARRIVAL. EVERYONE WAS WAITING EAERLY FOR BUS AND TRYING TO REACH DIFFERENT BUS AGENTS (HEER HIMACHAL/RANA TRAVELS) TO ENQUIRE ABOUT BUS BUT THERE WAS NO CLEAR RESPONSE ABOUT THE WHEREABOUTS OF THE BUS. THEY KEPT GIVING DIFFERENT REASONS ABOUT THE DELAY BUT NOTHING APPEARED TO BE TRUE. WE ALL ARE STILL NOT CLEAR ABOUT THE REASON FOR NO SHOW. I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED BY THERE RESPONSE. THEY DID NOT EVEN CARE TO GIVE US CLEAR REASON FOR DELAY SO THAT WE COULD DECIDE ACCORDINGLY.NO ONE FROM THE AGENTS TEAM WAS AT THE BOARDING POINT TO GUIDE/HELP US. MY 5 DAYS HOME VISIT PLAN GOT CANCELLED DUE TO THIS. THERE WERE MANY TRAVELLERS WHO WERE GOING TO MATA VAISHNO DEVI AND HAD PRE PLANNED HOTEL/BUS BOOKINGS WHICH WERE ON STAKE DUE TO THIS CONFUSION BY TRAVEL AGENT. IT IS REALLY SAD TO FACE SUCH SITUATIONS IN A METRO CITY LIKE DELHI. BY 1O PM, WE TRIED TO CALL POLICE PCR VAN @100 NUMBER AND THEY DID VISIT THE BORADING POINT. PCR TEAM ASKED US TO VISIT NEAR BY MANDIR POLICE STATION TO LODGE COMPLAINT. SOME OF THE PASSENGERS EVEN TOOK PAINS TO GO TO THE POLICE STATION BUT THE ASSIGNED COMPLAINT OFFICER COULD NOT HELP US. HE JUST TOOK COMPLAINT ON PLAIN PAPER RATHER THAN FILLING AN FIR. ONE MORE SETBACK TO US WAS THAT EVEN POLICE IS NOT HELPING IN REAL SENSE. SINCE IT WAS ALREADY LATE 11:30 PM, WE HAD NO OPTION TO GIVE UP AND GO BACK TO OUR RESPECTIVE PLACES. BY MENTIONING THE DETAILED SUMMARY OF EVENTS, I WANT TO HIGHLIGHT THE REALITY OF SUCH TRAVEL AGENTS WHO DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE TRAVELLERS AND LEAVE THEM DESERTED WITHOUT ANY PROPER INFORMATION. REQUEST CONCERNED PEOPLE TO TAKE STRICT ACTION AGAINST THEM AND HELP SO THAT SUCH INCIDENTS DO NOT REPEAT. THINK IF IT HAPPENS WITH YOU, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL LIKE WHEN YOU ARE DITCHED BEFORE STARTING SOME JOURNEY/HOLIDAY. TRYING TO SHARE MY VIEWS SO THAT IT GETS ADDRESSED THANKS!
