Honda 2 Wheelers India — pathetic service and product defect | |||
Name of complainant - jaskirat singh bajaj[protected] I had purchased honda unicorn dl 10st 7982 from excel honda, mayapuri on 21/08/17. I took the vehicle for its first service on 12/09/17, and on the recommendation from the dealer, i got teflon coating done on the motorcyle. During the teflon coating, my bike was badly scratched on the fuel tank. When i told the dealer, suddenly they claimed that the teflon coating was done by an outside agency, and that they could not do anything about it. Also, they gave me in writing that the right hand side panel was pending, which they would put later, which was never done. I went for the second service on 28/11/17, after which engine knocking started in the bike. I took the motorcycle to the excel honda service station on 04/12/17 and 05/12/17 to get the complaint addressed, but nothing was done about it. Subsequently, i took the motorcycle again on 30/12/17 because the bike was giving a lot of problem, but still nothing was done. Finally, after creating a lot of hue and cry, they took my bike for check up on 09/01/18. Till 17/01/18, they kept the bike with them, and gave me no updates or response. I had to call them repeatedly every day to enquire about the progress. On 17/01/18, they came back with the motorcycle, which had the same problem. There were fresh damages on the bike, such as scratches, the side stand was broken, and there were marks on the silencer as well. When i raised the issue to them, they refused to acknowledge any problem. Again on 07/02/18, i took the bike to excel honda, to resolve the problem, but till date i. E. 13/02/18, i have not heard from them. I have to travel everyday to sonepat from naraina, and this has caused me to travel using cabs or by borrowing other people's vehicle which is causing me severe monetary loss, as well as mental harassment. The attitude of the honda service managers and dealer staff is also very indifferent, and they are taking these complaints very casually. I'm requesting for help in resolution if this problem.
