Am taking this opportunity to bring to notice of all a serious issue pertaining to rusting of my vehicle WB24K8655 ( i10 1.2 SPORTZ).
The entire body ( external / internal ) has got very badly hit by rust. The nature and extent of damage can be gauged going through one of the pic enclosed . Its all over, can you imagine ?
While have tried bringing the same to the service team at Kokata, however, their version is it is likely because of the odd paint jobs done because of some accidental repairs. Now, who does not get this done unless you are lucky enough to not have odd hits / scratches ? Acc to Hyundai personnel, there is procedure / environmental mismatch between paint job done while manufacturing Versus paint jobs done at their workshops. Sounds ridiculous isn't it ? Any body' guess then it would have been a universal issue. Even if one has to buy this logic, the onus still remains with Hyundai, as they are questioning work done at their workshops only ? But they don't want to take onus of this and are comfortably passing on to customer, under the garb of warranty and mileage.
Can someone explain does a customer paying lacs to buy the car should be expecting such rust to happen in few years down the line ? How does mileage of a car impact the body so that it starts rusting turning into a rubble ?
The apathy shown by the company’ personnel in Kolkata is shocking, despite this clearly being a manufacturing issue. Any lay man can say that.
So be prepared for such a glorious joyride in after sales with Hyundai as am undergoing.
