I relate this email to a very serious complaint about my car i20 which is fake claimed as trustworthy car of India (details as given below):

I bought this car on August 2019 from MR Hyundai, Loni road, Shalimar garden, Sahibabad. All the periodic services of my car up to the recent service of on August 2021 are done at Authorised Hyundai Workshop at MR Hyundai and Sachin Hyundai, Budaun. So, these service centers have all records of my car. Till date my car has run only 20700 KMS
I have faced a serious problem in Hyundai car as I was travelling from Budaun (my workplace) to my hometown Sikandrabad, Distt-Bulandshahr, U.P. on Thursday, 17th march-2022 due to HOLI festival with my family. Suddenly, I found the Clutch became very tight and I was unable to push that and couldn’t change gear or not even neutral the car, when I pushed again clutch became free and something was broken in clutch assembly (I thought so) and car engine stooped same time. With God grace, my speed was around 50-55 kmph so that I could control the car with indicators and hand brake and reached aside the road and also pushed the car for parking at distance from traffic. The time was around 5:30 PM and location was outer area of Ahmadgarh town, distt-Bulandshahr.
I arranged a mechanic for checking the issue but he told that this needs to be handled by Hyundai service centers. Meanwhile my family with 2 little kids were in tension because of outskirt area and HOLI festival time as many of the drunken people were roaming on roads commenting on us. This was very embarrassing moment for us and our safety was on high risk. I called Hyundai On road assistance. They said that crane will arrive in 3 hrs approx. But it was already 8:00 PM and no crane came to help. Then I booked a crane (on my expenses) from Bulandshahr which was approx. 40 kms from my location. That came at about 9:00 PM and reached at Delta automobiles, Bulandshahr around 10:20 PM and left car for repairs. Me and my family suffered a lot that night and gone to our destination which was about 25kms from service center by public transport with lots of trouble and luggage.
My concern for telling this story is that, my car is under 3 years warranty (approx. 2.5 years completed yet) and also have valid insurance but nothing worked in Hyundai office and I had to pay 17000 rs (bill attached) for clutch problem and 4000 rs to crane person from pocket. Means after sales service is very bad and staff doesn’t escalate the issue timely.
Also, my car is not reliable which could lead accident that day and many people suggested me to buy old car from showrooms verified but I purchased new car thinking that Hyundai I20 is reliable car but actually that could cheat you anyday anytime boasting of fake safety of customers. I would request to Hyundai personnel that this issue to be escalated and refund my amount expend and thoroughly inspect this car again for safety. As i20, I found is WORST car I bough ever in terms of safety.
