Hyundai Motor India — EON EPS Module Faulty

Address: New Delhi, Delhi, 110075

Hi,

I bought my Hyundai EON in October 2013. It's been 3 & half years. Yesterday (07th April 2017) suddenly my car's EPS system stopped working. Since then I need to run my car in Manual steering mode, which is very hard to maneuver and tough in driving.

On showing it to Deep Hyundai workshop, Nangli Sakrawati, Najafgarh, Delhi today, they reported that the power steering (EPS module) is not working and it needs to be replaced to get it working. The cost of EPS module is around Rs. 8000/-. But, what really surprises me is that how can this part fail within such a short duration of the car's age/use. My car has clocked only 13000 km.

I believe Hyundai should look into the matter of Electronic Power steering module as these seem to be faulty (manufacturing defect) that they are using in EON cars.

I have also read several articles on Hyundai EPS problems on various other models like i10, Verna and Elantra. Also, in the USA, Hyundai has recalled many batches of cars where EPS has been found to be faulty due to a manufacturing defect. The same needs to be done in India also.

I had bought Huindai EON during February 2013 and it's EPS system gone faulty w.e.f 21th July 2019. I have read the complaints and most of the problems in Huindai cars is its EPS system. The company should work on it to solve the problem. I had enquired about the cost of EPS from service center at Kothari hyndai pune and they intimated that it's cost is around 19 thousand rupees.
I have an Eon Car model 2012, driven only 13k kms. I too am facing the problem of EPS Light turning red.
I had bought Huindai EON DLite in Jan 2012. Its EPS system gone faulty w.e.f 8th July 2019. I have read the complaints and most of the problems in Huindai cars is its EPS system. The company should work on it to solve the problem. I had enquired about the cost of EPS from service center at Dwarka Delhi and they intimated that it's cost is around 20 thousand rupees.

It seems a common problem.

I purchase my EON ERA car in february 2012 and it has clocked only 22000KM. But, from last two days no EPS sign is on while starting the car. I fail to understand how EPS can become faulty also EPS moduke battery voltage supply connector (Harness cable)burnt completely in such a short duartion & after 22K. I checked with a service center and they are charging 7500 for module plus service charge & harness wiring cost for its replacement. I think this problem is coming in most of the EON models and its manufacturing fault yo can see in attached pictures Hyundai should replace their faulty EPS module free of cost.

Hi,
I have same issue of EPS failure in Eon car of 2012 model. It's very tough situation. This is company's manufacturer fault, they should take action in this issues and change it freely.
So please call and change it without cost

Hi this is Tanveer I too have eon car I too have the same eps problem
Hi I am Pankaj from Ghaziabad

I have also EON Delite plus 2013 model and i am also facing same problem of EPS . The cost of new EPS is around 8-9K and they are not giving granty on that . I repaired that from outside they gave me 3 month warranty and taken 2000 rs but after 3 month i am again facing same problem.

In every EON car there is problem in EPS module. So Hyundai should recall all for change otherwise no one should trust on Hyundai.
Same with me..I have Eon Era+ purchased in Dec 2012, I have run it only 22k kms, suddenly last week EPS showed up and steering got tight..I still have not gone for a mechanic, ...I think it a manufacturing defect from Hyundai..any ways, I need to repair it, [protected]
