I purchased the above car, in the name of my grand son Raaghav Lonial, on 08.04.2016 from Samrithi Hyundai, Ambala Cant through Mr Satija. The car was delivered late in the evening through a company driver. Following deficiencies were found at the time of deliver:-
1 The Odometer reading was 05 KMs against more than 225 Kms distrance of Ambala from Faridabad. There was no explanation for this reading or how the Odometer was tempered with.
2 There were no polythene covers on Seats .
3 There was neither a Ribbon on the Bonnet nor a Seat Box as is the custom with new Car.
4 Driver did have the Toll Plaza tickets in proof of having passed through them while there are several.
5 The Service Book and duplicate Key was also not there.
The above facts were brought to the notice of Mr Satija (middle man and Insure agent) who informed the company accordingly and assured for looking into the lapse.
The Car was sent for fitting of Stereo and other accessories on 10th April when some shocking facts were revealed to us. The Shop person informed us that interior fittings have been tempered suggesting that some accessories must have been fitted. And afterward removed. There was a cloth packing between the Odometer and glass cover . The dealer was again contacted through Mr Satija and later on from the behavior of the workman working on the accessories make us feel that he has received snubbing s for revealing these all to us.
The Service Book was delivered to us last Saturday as the Car required First Service. My driver informed me from the Service station at Faridabad they are not accepting the car for First service as this car was originally sold on 29.12.2015 and is just due for 2nd Service only and this fact they have endorsed on the Service Book.
Service Book On perusal of the service book it found that it was for EONE Magna which has been corrected by cutting. The Engine No. and Chasis Number too were different and have been mutilated to make them for this car. This confirms that the Original Service book has not been handed over to us. The duplicate Key too was delivered alongwith the Service Book .
The above facts confirms our apprehension that an already used vehicle originally sold on 29.12.2015 has been resold to us as new on 08.04.2016 which you will appreciate that is not an honest and fair practice and tantamount to cheating.
We have brought this matter to your notice for due action and addressing our grievance without further delay. We hope you will take appropriate action and we shall not be required seek alternative source for redressal.
