Hyundai Motor India — Hyundai Motor India Hyundai Tucson: Bad quality delivery - Advaith Hyundai

Subject: I would like to highlight a very bad quality product [Hyundai Tucson GLS Petrol ] delivered to me without any prior quality checkup by Advaith Hyundai.

Hello Hyundai Motors India,

I have recently bought an INR 30+ Lakh Hyundai Tucson GLS petrol [ PFA invoice ] from Advaith Hyundai [Bangalore-Outer Ring Road]. Prior to purchasing this car I have purchased Hyundai Santro [ 2019 ] and Hyundai i20 [ 2017 ] from Advaith Hyundai [ Bangalore ].

Car was delivered to me on Tuesday, 12 October 2021 at 5 pm at Advaith Hyundai Outer Ring road showroom [ Bangalore ]. During the delivery I had highlighted to the executive that the car was not quality checked properly and was unacceptable for the delivery. A temporary cleaning was done by the dealership but was not upto Hyundai's quality mark as I had undergone 2 deliveries in past for my i20 and santro and they were simply fabulous. I did highlight the same on record feedback taken from me by the sales executive during the delivery.

Upon close analysis under sunlight on the exterior paint quality following observations were made by me and reported pro-actively to Advaith Hyundai [Bangalore-Outer Ring Road] dealership on Wednesday, 13 Oct 2021:
1. Multiple paint bubbles found on bonet, boot and doors.
2. Heavy swirl marks found throughout the car.
3. Rough surfaces found on door panels.

Upon receiving my complaint on 13 October, Advaith Hyundai did contact me and asked me to get the vehicle for inspection to their dealership [ Bangalore - Outer Ring Road ] on Tuesday, 19 October. This date was chosen by the dealership and the reason given was the upcoming festive holidays.

As agreed I took the vehicle to the dealership on Tuesday, 19 October 2021. All of the above highlighted problems on the exterior paint quality of the vehicle were observed and acknowledged by the Advaith Hyundai Outer Ring road showroom [ Bangalore ] dealership executives. They did try masking the same via simple polish but that will be a temporary fix. Upon my intervention asking for a permanent fix they requested me to visit the showroom again on Saturday, 23 October 2021 where they informed me that the same will be inspected by Hyundai executives. The distance between the dealership and my residence is close to 45 Kms [to-for].

Now, I would like to highlight the following:
1. Advaith Hyundai Outer Ring road showroom [ Bangalore ] failed in sending me all of the above in an email even though after giving me an assurance that I will receive all issues found after inspecting the car via email.

2. A Car with a bad paint quality was delivered to me without any proper quality check by Advaith Hyundai Outer Ring road showroom [ Bangalore ] dealership.

3. I was told that the Hyundai Tucson comes under the premium car segment. My question to Hyundai will be " How is this a premium experience for me ? "

This experience has taught me that HYUNDAI IS VERY EFFICIENT IN GETTING THE 100% PAYMENT FROM THE CLIENT BUT NOT VERY EFFICIENT IN DELIVERING A QUALITY VEHICLE AND POST SALES SUPPORT COMMUNICATIONS. At the end of the day it is me who is at loss.

There is no acknowledgement email or sms sent by HMIL highlighting the receipt of my complaint. There is no action taken by HMIL even after registering a complaint on HMIL customer care. Very bad and delayed approach taken by HMIL.

I am unhappy with the exterior quality of the brand new premium car delivered to me. I am hoping Hyundai Motors India will intervene here and get the problem solved as per Hyundai's quality standards.

Advaith Hyundai used to be a very good and professional dealership as I have been associated with them since 2017 and have bought 3 cars from them, but in this case there is some problem and at the end of the day I am the one who is at loss.
