Hyundai Motor India — premature failure of hyundai grand I10 sportz at just 56k kms | |||
Dear Sir, I wish to register a complaint about premature failure of the Main Gear Box of my car Hyundai Grand I 10 Sports Model 2014. CH No MALA851DLEMO78321, E NO 03FAEM080345. This Car has done barely 56 K Kms. It s 5th Gear started slipping when engaged. Car was taken to Hyundai Frontier Workshop at Matial, Dwarka, New Delhi -110075 for repairs on 15th Oct, 2017. I was briefed about the defect and the failure by the Manager, Workshop. Its Main Gear Box has failed prematurely due to following (photos att): a) Lock broken b) 5th Gear damaged c) Few more gears have been damaged d) Cutch, Pressure plate and bearing worn out I was given an estimated cost of repair Rs 31000/- approx. The car is still in the workshop. I am a loyal customer of Hyundai as my last car also was Hyundai I 10 which drove for approx 1.5 Lac kms and then disposed off. The Main gar Box is poor in quality as various components in it broke down prematurely. Hyunda Branded is known for high reliability of its car assemblies and their long life . Why should I suffer the cost of repair if the poor quality gear box has failed barely at 56K Kms? I would therefore request Hyundai to provide me repair/replacement of the failed gearbox and clutch etc free of cost. I shall be grateful for the gesture towards a loyal customer.
