[Resolved]  Ibibo Group / Goibibo — difference in tax amount in invoice

Sub: regarding wrong collection of tax for my bookings.
This is to inform you & for necessary action regarding my latest booking on goibibo for le meridian coimbatore.
Today morning on asking many a times for tax invoice of my booking i got the mail from your team a bill of hotel meridian. The bill received was completely different from the fare break up (Gst and other taxes are not shown separately) shown to me at time of booking.

Further to inform you that at the time of booking proper breakup of base value and taxes was available on site but even after several reminders and continuous followups no certain solution is provided and seriously amazed me. I also had a conversation with concerned hotel but no suitable reply received.

This was a complete cheat case and i was amazed to see that big players like goibibo also do these tax stealing things.
I m having both the screen shots and i m going to the legal department for the justification of same.
I had tried contacting your team many a times but still no response is received.
Hoping the same will b addressed asap.

This mail is with regards to Booking Id: HTL4SY3XX3

As you are aware, Goibibo is only an enabling B2C (business to customer) platform/ intermediary between service providers and customers facilitating transactions. Hence, in such capacity, Goibibo will not be able to provide you with the invoice on behalf of the service provider i.e., the hotel.

We can only assist you with the voucher in respect of the total amount as charged by the service provider for the booking and collected by us on behalf of the service provider. However, detailed break up including the taxes levied in respect of the booking can only be obtained from the service provider (hotel).

Kindly also note that our booking Terms and conditions are explicit to the extent that the customers must obtain the invoices from the hotel at the time of check-out.

We tried calling you but could not establish a successful contact. We value your relationship and will assist you on the raised concern. We will raise an invoice issue to the hotel for further assistance. Please allow us sometime here.
