Dear Sir / Madam,

I have recharged my vodafone mobile through ICICI bank site ”prepaid recharge” of RS 60.00 to get the balance in main account. But after recharge it has not shown any balance & I call to customer care of vodafone they told that it has recharged on a special offer of 30p/min. I told them to convert this amount to main balance but vodafone executive told that they are helpless. During recharge the ICICI has also not mentioned the offer, they just mentioned the rs 60.00 as the minimum balance for recharge.

Kindly look into the matter and do the needful

    I have been requesting for an internet banking password reset for a long time now. But it has not been successful so far. I have wasted a lot of time due to an inefficient bank and its silly rules/ policies. I have been so frustrated that I wont recommend ICICI Bank to anyone.

    I recently went to the ICICI BSK branch and asked for my internet password to be reset. The banker informed me that I could do it online through my mobile. I informed him that I had to change my mobile number as it had changed. I placed a mobile number update request with him, but the banker did not tell me that I could not change my internet password for the next 15 days after updating my mobile number. I found it out the hard way when I tried to reset it online. When I placed a request to send the password through mail on 9th March 2011, I was told that the password would be received within 7 business days. It is 20th March today and the password has not yet arrived. I called the customer care and they gave a lame excuse that the courier service could not find me at the address. I have been home all the time as I am on vacation and during this time no courier came home. It only reflects how lame the excuse is on ICICI or the courier's part. I even tried calling the Express Zone courier in the last few days to avoid this issue, but they have not been picking up calls. ICICI has wasted my time and God knows how many other people's time just to reset an internet password. The banking experience has been pathetic with them and their Customer service sucks!


    This is not the first time I have experienced this. The first time I requested for an internet password, the password did not come to my home and was returned by the courier service. The ICICI Banker in Banashankari (Deepthi) suggested that I authorise the bank and get the password at the BSK branch as it wont be returned. She also suggested that I move the account from M.G. Road branch to BSK so that it can be handled better. I did that on her advise. Few days later, I received the password, and when I tried logging in with it, I encountered an error. When I called the Customer Care, they said that as my account was transferred to BSK branch the internet password woudl have to be generated new again, and only by visiting the branch. How on earth can the internet password be linked to my account location?

    Their approach to security with regards to internet passwords is flawed and their customer service just dishes out lame excuses. They even tried to close my request even when I told them that the request was not fulfilled. This kind of service is really not acceptable and wastes time.

      My HomeLoan account number is NHNOD[protected].
      I took 33lac from ICICI bank in Dec 2009 for 240 months, and have been paying the EMI regularly, but abruptly the tenure has been extended to 444 months, that too without any prior notice. The 11% interest they are charging is much higher that the market standards. I am also not sure how they are calculating the principle and interest component, out of 30k from the EMI only 600 INR is deducted from the principle and there is only very marginal increase in this deduction over the next 37 YEARS!!!!!
      Please help me.

      This is a common grievance with all ICICI customers. The bank's policy is to squeeze customers. All o[censored]s will agree that interest rates are going up. Bank is an institution and customers are individuals. How can the Bank expect customers to continue to pay their EMIs even after 10 years / 15 years of retirement ? One can also see more than 50% of the complaints about home loans belong to ICICI. It is high time that RBI step in and instruct the bank to follow customer oriented approach.
      The response by ICICI Customer Service Team is "We are sorry to hear about your experience.We have made a note of your mobile number.We'll contact you and work to address your issue at the earliest. ". Ultimately, they will come back to you and say please either increase your EMI amount (by producing lot of documents to prove that you have the capacity to pay the increased amount) or you make some part payment. If this can be done why we should take loan from bank ?

      ICICI contacted my today, and asked my email id telling me they will respond there.
      I am not too hopefull either that this will do any good to me.
      They want the issue to be moved out of this forum. They will not give you any solution other than what I have quoted above.

        This is on my Wife behalf :

        She was using ICICI bank credit card in Hydrabad in 2007. She is very fedup now with their services and charges.

        Issue date : 02/2007 and expire date : 02/2011.

        She spoke to custmer care so many times but still They were not providing credit card statement and they are putting interests and late fee again and again on her card. I don't know why they are not giving intimation to customer. one day one wrong transaction was done in her card, and she spoke to customer care again and again to reverse that amount, but they were not listening and not reveresed the amount 400. then She told them she will never use their card. and she faxed them the same detail to reverse the amount and close the card. They didin't closed the card and putting interest on it. Now that amount is around 14K and they have putted her name in CIBIL list. Now we are suffering because of ICICI bank credit card. This is my very bad experience with ICICI bank. will never use their card in future or will suggest others also to do the same.

        Sir,
        I was alloted a credit card by icici bank in the 2005...every thing went fine for approx 2 years but the high interest rate (5-6%)p.m. and unusual fines on the withdrawn amount forced me to opt for an amicable settlement.The person who used to collect money from me offered me a two shot payment option and Rs 55000 was fixed as the settlement amount.Sir,I do not have any inkling regarding a so called settlement letter from the bank.I paid Rs 25000 as first installement on 27/02/2007.By and by I came to know that i should demand a settlement letter.So when the next time the collector came to collect the 2nd installement (Full and Final) I insisted on the settlement letter.He assured me by writing on the 2nd cash receipt "Full and Final & due settlement letter",this was enough proof for me to show to the bank if need be.I was taken aback when suddenly on the 15th of Nov 2010 I received a call that an amount was due on my credit card.I am a housewife looking after my mother-in-law who is 98 yrs and I just cant take this kind of harassment.Please help me out.         ICICI Bank — Wrong transactions and interests on my Credit Card

        Today I mailed to "[protected]@icicibank.com" and CEO Mr Kamath and Chanda Kochhar.

        This is on behalf of my wife:

        "This is Minakshi Arora. I was using ICICI bank credit card, when I was in Hyderabad.
        Card Number - [protected], Issue Date - 02/2007 and Expiry Date - 02/2011

        I have complete statement details with me from Oct-2007 to till date. It says I should pay 600 + 400 INR for settlement and closing this credit card. I called so many times to customer care for closing the account but again and again they were trying to befool us and I told them why are you doing autodebiting the amount from my ICICI bank account without my permission. Still they were doing the same.If you see the satement june 2008, they started auto debit payment from my account till may 2009. If you see the complete statement from oct 2007 to Sep 2008 I have done complete payment. and In May 2009 the total amount due is 600 Rs. Only that is just because of your interest and service tax. Whatever I purchased from ICICI credit card I have done the full payment. From June ICICI had started again autodebit payment but this time they got ZERO and they started Auto Debit return fee 250 + 75. Just because of these charges now the bill amount is 14 K. I spoke to customer care so many time, why they didn't do their job. Just because of them I am suffering today. Its Ridiculous... I'll never use ICICI bank account and credit card and never suggest to any other person to take it.

        Request you to please close this card ASAP and do the needfull.

        Till May 2009 the total amount due is 600 and late fee charges 400, I can give you. I have no problem in that. But please do the settlement and close the account.

        Reason of closing Card is :
        Their waste services and fedup with calling customer care again and again. I don't want to use ICICI card in future. When I spoke to senior guys in delhi for resolving this issue, they said 5000 otherwise customer care people do this. When I called to cutomer care, they are saying any where you can do the settlement and you have to pay 9000. WHY should I pay for their irresponsibility.

        I can pay the last total due amount 600 + Late fee charges 400 = 1000 Rs. ( May 2009 ). If you want I can send you the segregated list of credit card statement from Oct 2007 to till date, In you can see I have done full payment whatever I purchased with ICICI credit card.

        I think I have to take some action for this.
        Dear Sir/Madame,

        My name is Mr. Saptadeep Das and I am a resident of Mira Road€, Mumbai. To start with, I have an elder brother, Mr Sagar Das, who owned a credit card with ICICI Bank. He perhaps used his credit card for 3 to 4 years after which he fell into some financial crisis and has been avoiding a total debt of around Rs.30, 000.00. He previously resided at C Wing, 704, Silver Oak, Opposite Kanakia Police Stn., Mira Road€.
        He lived there for a few years with our parents and then shifted to B Wing 204, Silver Oak, Mira Road. Since then he has been living at another location near Vasai or Koperkhararne. I have been studying Business Law at IIPM in Pune.

        ICICI Bank has since then started skiptracing and found that Sagar’s residential location is B204, Silver Oak, wherein only our aged parents have been living. They found out my Mother’s mobile no. from some source and she started getting numerous phone calls from your collection centers. She would receive calls from hundreds of different numbers. Such was the situation that they would get calls starting at 8am which lasted till 9pm. My father who is a cardio patient, tried speaking to the collectors and tell them that Sagar no longer lives at this resident and that they now have hardly any contact with him, but calls would never end. You can imagine the trauma that that have been going through since the past 1 year. Eventually they had no other resort but to keep the phone switched off most of the time.

        Then came the most important turn in their elderly life. ICICI Bank had then started sending in people to the address and enquire about Sagar. Initially a young boy used to come and enquire about him. Even after telling him that Sagar no longer lives with them, he would appear appear once in every 3 to 4 days. Now, unlike a mobile phone, doors cannot be shut. After few weeks, ICICI Bank sent in a goon to recover money who would speak at the top of his voice standing at the entrance. Here, my father’s health starting deteroriating as he could take this no longer. They are highly respected members of the housing society and this caused them further embarrassment. This continued for another 4 to 5 weeks.

        All this while, they have been asking to make a one time settlement amount of Rs.18, 000.00. ICICI Bank then sent in one of their most eligible goon to our house. His name is Dinesh Yadav, Phone# [protected]. He was one step ahead. He started abusing my parents using all kinds of filthy words that ICICI Bank might have taught him while training goons. Here my father had been taking medical help as his blood pressure level had gone awfully high. Incidentally, whenever I visited them, the goons have never come.

        This awful goon of your’s starting abusing my parents to such an extent one day that my parent had to ask him and talk to them inside the house. He would still not budge and use all kinds of threating and threating words. At last, as no resort, my mother agreed to pay Rs.2000.00 (as that was the best she could afford). The goon then asked her to pay Rs. 500.00 extra as his commission, which too my mother paid. They were then off for about a couple of months. One weeks ago, he reappeared again, asking for more money. As I am to come down to Mumbai on this Sunday (24th Nov), she had asked him to come down on Monday so that he could talk to me.

        Now as a business law practioner, I very well know credit collection policies in India. Now, as it goes, these are the practices that ICIC Bank has been following in this case.

        *Revealed Sagar Das’ credit information to any third party that they spoke to, during skip tracing.
        *Making calls incessantly to a personal mobile number which does not belong to the defaulter.
        *Using abusing language while at the phone and harassing elderly people who are again third parties.
        *Sending their collection agents at the residence of the defaulter’s parents and arguing to know the contact information of the defaulter.
        *Sending in goons to the third parties residence and causing embarrassment by using load and abusive language.
        *By using loud tone, entering the residence by force.
        +Revealing the credit default information to the third party and asking for a payment in lieu of the defaulter.
        *Asking for commission from third party.

        Now, as the situation has gone too far, I will be reporting this issue to the local police and apprehend the goon who is supposed to visit our residence on Monday. If this continues now even on a single occasion, I will report this matter to the consumer forum and Mumbai Mirror branch, Borivali. A law suit will follow ICIC Bank after that, for which a minimum compensation of Rs.5 Lac will be asked for, for the harassment of a third party and Contempt of Honor. I have already discussed this situation with an advocate.

        Thus, all that I would be instructing and warning ICICI Bank NOT TO DO is,

        *Stop all phone calls to my parents phone number, which is, +91 [protected].
        *When skip tracing, not to reveal anything about a default or your banks name.
        *Stop sending collection agents and goons to a third parties residence.
        *If possible, refund the money forcefully taken from my parent (third party).

        I would thus request that this matter be looked into very seriously and action taken against law breakers. I would appreciate a response from your end within 24 hours, after which I would be forced to inform the Police and take stern action against a reputed bank of yours.

        This would not stop you from contacting Sagar Das at any point of time. You can continue to pursue collection activities. I suppose you already have his cell phone no. which I am assuming is +91 [protected]. His DOB is 24th March’1982.

        I would also appreciate if someone from your top and responsible management call me on +91 [protected] in between 3:30 pm to 7pm. I would be joining TCS at Airoli, as a Business Continuity Executive from Tuesday and might also be required to work in night shifts. Thus, all care must be taken that you call me at only the designated time.

        Once again, I understand that you are pursuing collection activity of your debt owned, but you have not been right at any step of recently and adhering to any law and policy of Fair Debt Collectiuon Practices Act.

        I hope you will take appropriate steps towards this and avoid a major disrepution of your Bank and inconvenience caused to us due to ICICI Bank.

          I took a housing loan from ICICI in OCT 2006 with ROI 9% (LBPUN[protected]) ...Believe me I have paid only 4 installments with initially quoted RIO.

          I dont remember any rate changes from RBI apart from 0.5 basis point last to last month but RIO on my Home loan changed from existing 12% to 13.25%. It was 12% in Jan2011, 12.5% in feb, 12.75 % in March & now I have just checked its whopping 13.25% for April 2011.

          Is anybody from RBI listening? ..What kind of loot is this? Do we have somebody who is looking at these matters?

          We are also facing same problem. Loan taken for 15 Years for 8.75 % & now after 3 years they claim 13 .25 % interest, So loan goes for 30 years which kill completly & hence decided to shift the loan to nationalised bank

            Failed transaction — Amt debited from bank but re credited after failed transaction

            I booked one ticket from Mumbai to Nizamuddin for 11-05-10 vide transaction ID - [protected]. While finalizing the transaction the internet connection showed some hanging problem, Later I came to know from my bank records that amount of Rs 2305 has been debited but not recredited.

            Pl arrange credit into my bank account

            Also I send mail to icici bank and they give me transaction reference number which I already have. And they told me to ask biller but my order is not place so its not showing in order history in Google

            And amount is 6500 rupes
            i made an online transaction 7 days back to a friend through the google app "tez". Money got debitted from my account but wasnt deposited in benificiary's account. Reported the issue with UPI also through the same app. But, still, it is a pending issue showing there..if Bank could tell me how much time it will take to get this issue sorted, i will be thankful.

                  Hello,

                  Am writing to you to bring it to your notice that my ICICI account was debited twice at a vendor store (Sunaina Opticals , Malleshwaram) for an amount of 5400 instead of 2700. Swiped by debit card for an amount of 2700, however my account shows 2 transactions of 2700. Vendor confirms that they have received the amount only once.

                  Hence I raised a complaint with ICICI Charge Back Team 6 days ago and faxed them all the required documents. Till now, there is no response or revert from there side, neither the amount is refunded to my account. The worst response from ICICI customer care executive is "I am not aware of it".

                  ICICI Bank : I want you to drill down to the issue and resolve it at the earliest. Revert to my query.

                  Forum Users: Am sure here could be many who have faced the same issue, could you please let me know is there anything else I can do to get back my money ?

                  I have made purchase throught icici credit card on 22 SEP 2021 only once price 1890 and I have cleared my outstanding bill only 29 SEP 2021 suddenly after Oct 4 it was showing me 2 time 22 sep 2021 1890 is debited.it was showing me to pay the amount . I have made purchase only 1 time but it has been debited twice I have even contact shop keeper where I have purchase but they are telling they have received payment only once. This was really quiet surprising issue. How can amount will be debited twice for single transaction. When I have contaced customer care no one is responding properly. I don't know how to resolve this. But paying twice is not at all reasonable

                    This is for your information and necessary action that my wife was holding a card 4443 XXXX XXXX 2008 of ICICI Bank which was earlier taken over by Centurian Bank, from the past 10 month no body was contacting us for the payments , all of sudden i received a call from [protected] Mr. Ankit / Mr. Vishal to settle down the card, i was not aware of that card that time as we have settled all the credit Card as well as all the loans of ICICI Bank.now Mr.Vishal is asking to settle the card in 1 day and i requested him to give me more time as it year closing time , but he started abusing me .he used to call me on my mobile but he is now continuously calling my office no. and wants to talk to my HR manager .i did not understand the credit card was in the name of my wife then why he wanted to speak to my seniors .he also frighten me that he will call my Brother in law that i fled away with the money, i am woking as General Manager in a Public limited company. i intented to settle this card ASAP but seems that credit card team is not willing to do. my request is that you please sort this out otherwise i dont have an option other then calling Police for Harassment.

                          Abuse Talking on phone on Daily basis to me and to all my contacts

                          Hi I am a credit card holder of an ICICI bank from several years & also I have maintained our record in a very good manner but one time I was late to deposit the amount due to some reason,then I got a call from ICICI Credit Card Deptt. to submitt minimum ammount so that I can re-use the card, I did it by giving cash to their agents but that ammount was never added in my bill and ICICI bank send some illiterate guys to collect the payment at my home,I was not there on that time they used abusive language with my family members & given him like warnings that deposit the amount today any how,then I came back after few days & called to those guys,they again came to my home to collect the payment.After a long conversation, I have given the whole balance amount to their agents but they didnt gave me any recept as they said that I will receive final recept from ICICI bank within a week, but now it going to be more than two years..
                          But till now this account is going on & I have recieved so many massages on a monthly basis & now ICICI bank cross their limit,persons from ICICI bank keep calling to me and to all my contacts ( They are keeping eye on all my out going and in comming calls ) on a daily basis and calling them with such an illiteratic & villager abusive language .

                          Well this is the situation,now tell me what can I do

                            I was trying to book my GSRTC ticket (Rs.264.00) on 16 January, 2011 through ICICI internet banking. The transaction was approved and amount has been deducted from account but ticket was not booked. Hence, immediately I called in customer care ICICI, one fellow told me to wait for 48 hrs, I waited but no progress. Further I called to customer care, another fellow told me wail for 5 days, I waited aging but still there was no any progress. I again called to customer care, this time one fellow registered my complain and that date was[protected] and told me to wait. I do. Then I tired and approach the ICICI bank, but there was just words of condolence I received, neither progressive nor satisfactory reply till date I have received.                                 I am suffering after taking ICICI Bank's Home Loan. At the time of processing the home loan request they behaved very nicely and extended personalized quick service to get me in trap. After becoming a loan customer of ICICI bank they forgot about customer service.
                                I had taken a home loan of Rs. 1338000.00 from ICICI Bank Home Finance Pvt Ltd. at Kolkata in 2002. I have been paying EMIs as per their advice through my other bank (HDFC) account's cheques . The Post Dated cheques (PDCs) of HDFC bank were given to ICICI Bank in advance. PDCs were getting cleared every month. After five years, the bank's call centre fellows started calling me up stating that there was an outstanding payment due to bouncing of a cheque. On checking with ICICI bank they informed me in writing that a particular cheque of November 2002 had bounced. I checked up HDFC bank and found that the cheque in question had never bounced. I produced documentary evidences to ICICI Bank's customer care department several times. The matter was even referred to ICICI Bank's customer crae Nodal Officer Mr. Tadikonda. Every time I received standard replies that they would reconcile my account and resolve the matter shortly.
                                Almost four years have passed since I registered my first complaint. Therafter, I have been following up regularly with ICICI Bank’s service branches at Central Plaza, Kolkata and subsequently at Sector-I Saltlake, Kolkata and also with the Customer Care Department of ICICI Bnak, but till date neither they have reconciled my account nor they have given any explanation for claiming the purported outstanding EMI. On the contrary, they have posted overdue charges against the purported outstanding EMI and debited the purported outstanding EMI & overdue charges from my ICICI Bank's S.B. account without my consent.
                                I request for suitable advice for further course of action against ICICI Bank authorities who have caused such harassment to me, not reconciled my loan account for so long and charged extra amount by debitting initially Rs. 19041.00 and subsequently Rs. 17731.64 over and above my regular EMIs payments from my bank account without my consent.

                                  This is with the reference to my ICICI credit card no [protected] Visa.

                                  I have not used this card since late 2003. Also I have not received the bill however person reached me from ICICI bank and said I have outstanding on. I paid immd with cash bearing receipt number 1993191 dated 03.12.2004

                                  After 4 year I got call again saying that I have outstanding on same card – I gave the reference of payment I made. I also requested to send me revised bill to see where from the payment is pending.

                                  To my surprise again bank people again called me asking to pay outstanding in 2011. Also they have not sent any bill for my knowledge.

                                  Not sending the bill to me and keep calling every year by increasing the hefty charges is sign of wrong intention by the relevant authority.

                                  In my credit card i taken Health Insurance policy and I cancel the Lombard Policy. So i have to pay Outstanding amount but i am very poor and poor family .So i gave the request to Ms.Priya ICICI Coimbatore from Legal Dept. So i go to settlement with 2 installment of 9000 Rs.
                                  First instalment i paid Rs.4000 and after remaining within payment without my knowledge in credit card section automatically debit 24/09/2008 Rs.11367. So please kindly refund my amount Rs.11367 and my cancellation refund amount 567 Rs also cannot reach me.
                                  I compliant 100 times in customer care so my telephone bill only raised. So in ICICI bank very very worst Response. Kindly request to take action and refund my amount.

                                  I had called helpline of ICICI aound 90 times till date and visited branh 20 times for getting compenstation and apology but they are teasing me and saying you will not get even single rupee from us and neither apology letter.

                                  This is to bring to your Kind notice that I Archna Thawani[protected] the saving account holder of ICICI Bank. I would like to inform you that the services rendered by ICICI Bank is totally useless & pathetic as till date i am waiting for my hard earned money to get refunded.

                                  My case history which shows the negligence of ICICI Bank. After so many telephonic calls, meeting with the branch manager of ICICI Bank, Nehru Place, New Delhi. No one has shown the images or proof. ICICI Bank is satisfied that on 03/04/10 that transaction is done by us then they should show me the proof. As a Account Holder of ICICI Bank I have a right to see how can the amount got deducted from my account. Few days back they were saying that they will show me the proof but later they said that they don't have clear images and now they are saying they won't be able to show me the proof because those images are valid till 3 months. I feel ICICI Bank is cheater.

                                  Kindly look into the matter & inform me accordingly. I have made many compliant against this problem but no action has been taken till now. Please help me i am waiting for my hard earned money since 5 months.

                                  I am Achint Kishore and I use to own ICICI credit card whose limit was Rs. 40000/-. First of all, they reduced my Credit Card limit to 17000/- without intimating me. Then, again without intimating me, they blocked my credit card forever. They did it even though I use to pay them every month. When I tried to contact customer care, they were failed to explain me the reason behind it. Last month, they auto deducted the rest of the balance from my ICICI bank account. And total amount due was Rs 605/-. I wrote couple of mails and contacted them through customer care to explain why my credit card was blocked, but they never did that. I did not paid the last due amount of Rs 605/- and now I got another mail from them saying the total due amount is now Rs 2475.63/-. Can you please look into this matter?

                                  I Nitu Sitaram Dawre would like to bring your kind attention that the credit cards ending with 3003 &amp; 3004 i had with ICICI BANK have been paid in full &amp; have been closed already in 2007 also this was confirm to me by the ICICI bank Agent to whom i made the final bill payment for both the cards then however post 2007 I then received call from Collections agent name Sunil Kambli on 15/03/2013 who very rudely asked me to make payment of Rs 22, 000 towards the credit card paymenet &amp; has been making harassment calls to me since then till date inspite of me telling him that i had already cleared the payment towards both my cards in 2007 i am extremely annoyed with the experience i had with him i will be reporting this complaint to RBI OMBUDSMAN if these calls are not stopped by the ICICI bank collections department on immediate basis &amp; will also file FIR against the above agent &amp; ICICI bank if necessary action is not taken by ICICI bank

                                  I have used this ICICI Credeit Card for Foreign Online Transaction for purchasing some online products and because of product

                                  dissatisfaction, Merchant has reverted amount of arround 9400 change and credit card bill amount was arround 9020(Which is lesser

                                  amount than Merchant reversed amount) due date of the payment is on Dec 20th.
                                  I have contacted ICICI Customer care once the Credit Card bill has reached to me through email and also intimated them that my

                                  Current Available Credit limit is showing as 40000rs. If the bill is not payed Available Credit Limit will reflect as 30000 change

                                  rupees. Customer care person has confirmed me to not to pay this month bill as because of this Merchant Reversal amount is greater

                                  than the Bill amount and your Available credit card amount Is reflecting as 40000Rs(Which is the max limit of my ICICI Credit card).
                                  Now ICICI Finance Team is torchering me by calling several times to my mobile to pay the bill. I have sent several emails to ICICI to

                                  make them understand this situation.

                                  In 2003, when I started my career in a software company, based on my salary account, Bank issued a credit card. And after using this for some years, Due to some problems with the bank folks, I&#039;ve pay ed(36768) all the out standing amount and closed account. I got a confirmation letter saying there are no dues pending on that card. This is happened on 2010 and the card number is 4477-xxxx-xxxx-3005. And after 5years, ICICI bank folks again coming to me by saying I need to pay 24000 more on other card. I don&#039;t know about any information bout the card, which they are mentioning [protected] and who is the owner and on whose name they have isseued the card.

                                    I took a Housing Loan from ICICI, Hosur (Tamil Nadu) in the year 2002. Later on, on March 24, 2006, I took a Top Up Loan of Rs.1,20,000/- (LBHSR [protected]) @ 9.50% with an EMI of Rs.1254/- repayable in 180 installments. Since then, EMIs are regularly paid through auto debit. Occasionally, there was slight increase in EMI amount due to hike in interest rates. Up to this point, it was a normal hike here and there which I was comfortable. Last week, I got a shocker from ICICI through an SMS informing that my EMI has been increased to Rs.1394/- and as on 31st January, 2011, number of EMIs remains at 355 months, i.e., a whopping 30 years ! If you add up the 60 EMIs I have already paid, it will be 355+60 = 415 months! In this scenario, my total repayment to ICICI will be approx. Rs.5.40 lacs, which amounts to 350%. Initially, I thought this is an error on the part of the bank. I approached the bank for a clarification and, to my surprise, they clarified it is not an error but very much a reality. Isn't it ridiculous ? If I have to go by their statement, by the time I finish the last EMI, I will be 81 years old ! (Further increases are likely which I have not considered). Accordingly to ICICI, to reduce the loan period, I have to repay some money towards principal amount. I wanted the EMI to be increased in such a way that more amount goes to the Principal Amount and simultaneously, number of EMIs comes down. But bank insists lot of documentation, including pay slip, etc. It is ridiculous again! They can increase EMIs and the amount for that matter, without the consent of customers, but when it comes to serving the customer, they will put a spoke in the wheel. In last 5 years, I paid almost Rs. 78000 towards this loan but only 7000 rupees have been decreased from the Principal amount! Is it justifiable? Does ICICI bank have the moral responsibility to follow banking ethics?

                                      After three years, the bank is claiming that bank that outstanding dues of Rs.10907.49.
                                      same amount has been deducted from my SB account.The ICICI bank authority replied as follows:

                                      We thank you for your co- operation.


                                      We confirm you that, credit cards were not delivered to you.

                                      However, according to your authorization Lombard General insurance policy has been issued on the credit card account.

                                      The policy amount of Rs. 5,683.00 was converted into Instalments.

                                      As on date there is no outstanding on the credit card account 5176 xxxx xxxx 7009.

                                      We look forward to other opportunities to be of service to you.

                                      If the card is not delivered by the bank, which is accepted by the bank, card is not activated, how the bank can claim for Insurance amount?.I never received any document for insurance policy.In this circumstances, the icici bank illegally deducted Rs.10907.49 from my SB account.
                                      The bank is illegally holding my money for more than 50 days. This amount to be returned to me with interest immediately.

                                        I took home loan from ICICI bank Nov 2009 at interest rate of 9.25%. During this period ICICI increased the interest rate for new customers to 10% but for me it was increased to 11%.

                                        I came to know that due to similar consumer complaints ICICI had asked banks to come out with new base rate system and allow exisitng consumers to shift to new system at no charge.

                                        I wrote to ICICI bank customer care. They called me and told me that I cannot change from existing FRR method to Base rate method as bank management has not taken a dicision on it. I was told that I can continue with exisitng FRR method and my interest rate can be reduced from 11% to 10% if I pay 0.5% as administrative charge and also need to sign a new contract that I have choosen to continue with FRR method. Customer care also told me that even if ICICI bank's managament approves and moves me to Base rate method interest rate will stay at 11%.

                                        I told the support to write this on email. I did get an email but only mention was for FRR and there was no mention of base rate method.

                                        I need help in reducing my interestrate to what ICICI offeres to new customers, convert my loan to new method and at no charge as per RBI guideline.

                                        ICICI — Why HOME LOAN Floating Interest Rates are not changed

                                        If the RBI increases the FRR or PLR then the first to apply this to existing customers is ICICI. But when RBI reduced this rate 3 times during recent months, ICICI will not act on the existing customers. This is a public fraud, why government and RBI is not acting on this. The bank knows that it is diffcult for the customer either to repay or shift to another bank, because that also involves some charges.

                                        If the customer is not followed all the rules then they banks are following all legal and illegal paths to get their money from ordinary middle class citizens. But what about the corporates not following.

                                        I dont think RBI and Government is not aware of this. They know it and will not act. Because these stupid people always work for the corporates and not for the customers.

                                        RBI changed the interest rates not for the customers. Because the companies not able to survive, it is acting. It will never act if the middle class not able to survive. This is what INDIA and it will be like that only.

                                        ICICI Bank Home Loan — Bank not decreasing floating rate of interest

                                        Hi,
                                        I have taken home loan of 28Lacs from your bank in oct 2006 on floating rate of interest basis. My loan account number is LBGUR[protected]. After few months the bank increased the interest rate and now it is 13.50% reducing.
                                        I contacted your ICICI Bank grugaon branch for quering about the rate of interest and the bank representative said I have to pay 1.75% on the pending principle amount to reduce the same and that too with the head office approval. My complaint is :

                                        1. When rate of interest increased the bank increased the same but now when bank is offering lower rate of interest to new customers then why my loan rate of interest not decreasing?

                                        Sir, I agreed to take the loan if all those conditions will be fullfill by the Bank like bank charge only processing fees Rs. 1685/- (Rs. 1500/- Processing fees that i.e. equivelant to 1.5% of Rs. 100000/- which was executive committed to me at the time of signing the kit & Rs. 185/- Service Tax i.e. 12.36% of Rs. 1500/- ) also bank give the loan 02 year tenture otherwise I could not accpt the loan.

                                        Request you pls. look into the above matter on top priorty as HDFC bank not ready to romove all those charges & as well as loan tenure

                                        ICICI Home Loan Ltd — Interest Rate is Floating But not Floating Down

                                        Hello,

                                        I have take a Loan of 7.5 Lacs in the year 2006 at the interest of 9.25% pa which is increased to 12.75% pa in todays date, the type of loan is Floating and now the current Rate of Intrest of Loans are very less but ICICI Bank charges me from 12.75% pa.

                                        Could you help me in getting this clear what is the policy of floting Rates why this is happening and is there any BODY who looks after this all matters.

                                        Other banks has redused the rate of interest even but ICICI home loan is still charging more, will RBI can take action against them??

                                        My Tenure is increased my 4 years from the current date means 6 years actually.

                                        My EMI amout was increased by 1000 Rs two times is this correct.

                                        Please sujjest me the right way to Catch them.

                                        The icici CSR called me and said my rate will be reduced to the new rate. I reached the bank, there i was presented with a whole new set of loan agreements to switch my loan. This is totally unfair, when loan rates go low, they will change the terms and conditions.

                                        There is pure cheating and this is no different india from past when poor people borrowed interest based debt and kept paying for their whole life.

                                        I want a rate cut without the new document signing. The profits can never be made by being over smart and writing one sided agreements.

                                        I was applied personel loan to ICICI bank, malleswaram branch, bangalore, on july 2007.I had submitted 3 HDFC bank cheque signed by me, salary slip, Photo copy etc.The loan had sanctioned after all enquiry but i refused loan because i felt high intrest amount ( Rs 39000 intrest of Rs 50000 loan amount).So i just told to excutive that cancel the loan.But i am not given any written form for cancellation.


                                        I left from bangalore on Dec 2007 to chennai and working here.Exisiting company has opened salarised account in ICICI bank Ac no[protected] before that i dont have an account ICICI bank.On 2008 July ICICI bank account has locked without any intimation and i asked near by icici bank personel they said that I have taken personel loan and the EMI not paid so that purpose account blocked.

                                        Around Rs 32000 debited from my account ( Because salarised ac ) and released.

                                        After one year ( augest )again call from ICICI bank and said still i have to pay Rs 39000 for personel loan.Then registered complaint ICICI customer care, those are enquired and told me that cheque disposed on 13.07.2007 and deposited to ING VYSYA bank.But i dont have an account in ING VYSYA bank.Yhen how can i deposit the amount to that bank.

                                        Not yet received any favarable reply from ICICI.

                                        Can you suggest me that what can i do further

                                        I Mr. Neeraj having an nri account with icicibank had deposited a checque from regular accont,as their was no proof of source of funds where nri my checque was kept in suspense account for six months,the bank could have always send back the checque to me ,but the funds were transfered from the other bank to icici bank but was not deposited in my account, I think i am eligable for interest of six months .please help me and let me know

                                        ICICI Bank Home Loan — Asking for extra money to reduce HL interest rate in the name of a scheme

                                        Hi,

                                        I had taken a home loan from ICICI bank in 2005 for 25 L and current rate of interest they are charging is 11.25 % floating. I called up ICICI customer care and they are asking me to pay 0.5% of outstanding loan principal amount to reduce interest rate from 11.25 % to 9.25%. When i asked what for i have to pay these charges there was no answer and saying its for a current scheme and company policy.

                                        My concern is : are these charges legitimate, and why ICICI bank has not reduced the rate of interest of it's own and offering only when one ask for pre-closure or pre-payment.

                                        ICICI — Denying the Agreement for Change in Interest Rate

                                        This is Amit Gupta. I have taken Loan from ICICI Bank for 20 lakhs Account No. LBMUM[protected]. Last year ICICI bank employees (Mr. Yusuf, J.B Nagar Branch, now shifted to Vasai Branch) persuaded me for a scheme which reduced my interest rates while paying some fees against it.
                                        I went through following procedure
                                        1. Agreement on a Franking document - which i have a copy
                                        2. Opening an account with ICICI Bank - I deposited 10,000 and started an Bank Account
                                        3. Medical Insurance - They took cheque and didnt submitted, nor they returned back me the same ever
                                        4. Additional Fee of 3339 - They took cheque and didnt submitted, nor they returned back me the same ever. I have the receipt for the same (dated - 24/02/10).

                                        Now these guys are denying the change of interest rate inspite of they signing Legal Agreement with me. I have met the Branch Manager there Ms. Uma Pande (on 27/01/11) in regards the same.She says that we have not submitted the cheques for the Medical insurance and fees, hence the entire thing stands cancel.

                                        Please advice me how can i get resolution in the matter whereby Bank is denying me lowered interest rate inspite of me
                                        1. Having the signed agreement for lowered interest rate
                                        2. Opening the bank account just because of scheme they had
                                        3. Running around to get the agreement done

                                        This is a open cheating case of the Bank with the consumers where they are denying their own signed agreement.

                                        Just got below reply. Thus, ICICI is not following RBI circular and not converting existing customers to new base rate. They are charging 0.5% for reducing interest rate from 11% to 10% usner the sam eold FRR method.

                                        Even if I choose to convert now what guarantee I get get that next month they will not increase my interest rate in a ad-hoc way. Why does ICICI discount new customers and charge their old customers additionally?

                                        Seems ICICI bank has floated 2 companies and trying to not implement above RBI circular.
                                        They have 2 entities called ICICI home finance and ICICI bank. As per them RBI circular applies to home loan given by ICICI home finance and not ICICI bank. Thus, they will not move me to new plan. All my loan documents say that loan was given by ICICI home finance but final contract document says ICICI bank.
                                        Thus, ICICI is trying to fool and defraud customers. Everyone kindly beware.

                                        I got another email from ICICI.Seems ICICI bank has a 100% subsidary called ICICI Home finance Ltd. They give most of the home loans from this subsiday and not from ICICI bank. Now RBI has released the circular to regulate the unfair practice of interest rate differential between new and old customer and this circular is applicable to all commercial banks. As per ICICI this does not apply to my loan as my loan was given by ICICI home finance and not ICICI bank.

                                        Thus, ICICI bank is giving all loans using a 100% subsidary called ICICI home finance and this subsiday is not following RBI guilines as it is not a bank. Unfortunately customers like me are fleeced as they take the loan thinking that ICICI bank is giving them loan.

                                        Please do not take any home loans from ICICI as you could end up not being heard and they will escape the law.

                                        I too agree with the above complaints... I am also victim of differential interest rate being charged by ICICI Home finance. Now I am being charged at 12.25%pa. whereas base rate is just around 10% pa. When queried about base rate system to ICICI, they simply came out saying that base rate system is applicable to ICICI Bank and not to ICICI Housing Finance Co... I think RBI /NHB should look into this loophole, which banks like ICICI is taking advantage of... This loophole should immediately be plugged in... Otherwise, ICICI HFC will continue to loot the cusotmers...

                                        the circular is applicable to banks. MY Loan number starts from LB which indicates that loan is from a bank. So I am not sure as to why I am being charged this switch fee.

Firstly they tried to confuse and had not given proper reply that what is their FRR/PLR rates. and whether these rates differ from person to person.                                         We understand your concern, however we would like to clarify :

                                        The Bank offers both fixed and floating rate home loans to its customers. To ensure transparency while pricing floating rate home loans, all floating rate loans are linked to the benchmark rate( FRR / PLR). The rate of interest changes with change in the benchmark rate.

                                        The FRR/PLR is decided based on the changes in the cost of funds for the bank. We look at the long term impact on the cost of funds for the bank before effecting any increase/decrease in the FRR/PLR.

                                        We wish to explain that the floating rate of interest you have chosen for your Home Loan is subject to change according to the Prime Lending Rate (PLR) / Floating Reference Rate (FRR) for Home Loans.

                                        The floating rate of interest is based on 2 factors: the Prime Lending Rate (PLR)/Floating Reference Rate (FRR) and margin points.

                                        Floating rate of Interest = PLR or FRR +/- margin points.

                                        Whenever there is a change in PLR/FRR, the rate of interest automatically changes for all the floating rate customers.

                                        Further, margin points are the points that we offer under various schemes from time to time and the margin points depends on the date and time of loan disbursement.

                                        The Telephonic reply recd to me is that the PLR/FRR rate of ICICI bank is 15.5% and ICICIHFCL is 17.5%, Since you have availed loan from HFCL rate of interest applicable would be of according to HFCL. I quary was during last 2 year the communication recd is from ICici bank about the increase in interest rates. when the question asked about the PLR/FRR rates, now they are diffentiating it and asking .5% to get the rate of interest reduced 10.5%

                                        I grevance is firstly they do not infrom about their FRR/PLR, no 2 by not informating they have taken away my right/oppertunity to shift my loan other banks who are offering at lower interest. no-3 they demand of .5% Charges is entheical and against the Provisions made in MRTP and RBI Guidelines.

                                        In view of above, I requst for advice from all concern that what steps should be taken in this regard

One of your staff member Manish visit my house with 2-3 persons and put notice in the front of my house and take photographs without asking or taking permission of my son or wife. When they tried to ask him about all things, he shouted and abuses them. After this 10-15 days later him come again with 5-6 persons and force my son to sign in black paper, When he refused to sign, they said we will sold your home unless give Rs.9 lakhs. They mention that they are from ICIC home lone Ltd. 8C. I am out of the country and paying installments every month. So please not disturb my family.
