ICICI Bank Complaints - Bank robs off my money

Hi,
I have a salary account with ICICI bank. It is a visa card.
On 4th April - 09, Saturday i tried to withdraw money in SBI ATM. Initially i tried for Rs. 6000. But, it did not go through. It said transaction declined. Then, i again tried for Rs. 6000. Even that dint not go through. All the two transactions got declined. The ATM did not give any money. The next day when i went to withdraw money, I was shocked to find that the bank has debited Rs 12000 from my account. I filed a complaint for this on 6th Apr-09. They asked me to wait for 8 working days. I am still waiting and there is no update from their side.
I am in high emergency for the money.
For the past few days I have been looking into lots of incidents of people getting cheated by banks. Obvious, I dont want ICICI to rob off my money.
Please advice me on what immediate step I can take.

Hi,
I am asoftware engineer. I have a salary account with ICICI bank. It is a visa card.
On 6th September, saturday i tried to withdraw money in canara bank ATM. Initially i tried for 16000 rs. But, it did not go through. It said transaction declined. Then, i tried for 10000 rs. Even that dint not go through. Finally, I tried for 1000rs. That too did not get through. All the three transactions got declined. The ATM did not give any money. Also, on that day until evening the Canara bank ATMs did not accept ICICI debit card. The next day when i went to draw money, I was shocked to find that the bank has debited 10000 rs from my account! I filed a complaint on this. They asked me to wait for 8working days. I am still waiting and there is no update from their side.
when I contacted them in person they just said me ATM is a different sector and they cant do anything. The ATM people can be contacted only through phone.
I am in high emergency for the money.
For the past few days I have been looking into lots of incidents of people getting cheated by banks. Obvious, I dont want ICICI to rob off my money.
Please advice me on what immediate step I can take.

    Hi All,

    I have never received any card from Centurion Bank of Punjab ( Now ICICI Bank) but the ICICI people have called me several time and came to my house to collect the payment. I got a mail from the ICICI bank stating as below which includes my reply to them.





    Hi Prasad,
    I have already informed your executives about the payment due. See the first thing is i have never applied for any card provided by ICICI bank. And you people are forcing me to pay the bill. And some third party is coming to my residence for payment collection. If this will continue then i will take legal action against you people. I need a clarification on this.

    But i didn't received any reply from them till date. Once i got a call from them saying that if i don't pay the bill they will put my name into the defaulter's list and in the future I can't get and loan or credit card from any bank.

      Sir,
      My ICICI HP Credit Card No [protected] since 5 months I am receiving Statements to my residence or to my e mail without my nowledge they have deducted Health Card annual fee which I now when they sent me the details to my residence. The ICICI Bank is trining a Big cheating gang over telephone like customer care their they fix all card holders with their conning training ie what first told me is for health card that first they are going to deduct only one month fee and if you satisfy with Health Card benefit then only the remaining fee will be deducted by monthly but not at a time, this what they told and now what they are doing is deferent method and now they are fearning me that they will complaint to M/s.CIBIL this is the way they are doing. Now kindly deside the solution for this to me please. In India the mazor companies are looting Banks amounts in Lakhs of Crores in the way of loans and no one is bother with them and Banks are squeezing Comman man if they make late payment by keepikg heavey penalities this is very cruel thing.
      Pakistan is creating Human Bombs and ICICI Bank is training Human Cheaters (Customer Call Agents).
      If the Indian young educated citizens trained like this what will become India future ? No one will follow at least 10% of Gandhiji's footsteps.ICICI LUMBARRD Policy No: 4034i/FPS/04374795/00/000

        BEWARE OF ICICI, NRI Customers, NRE Savings A/c - dont invest your moeny. ICICI Account holders be CAREFUL
        It took more than 6 weeks to open/ activate NRE A/C; Internet password took another 6 weeks after making lot of calls while in India in August 2008 visit. What an awful experience?

        You can not remit/ deposit check by mail in USA. Did you know that?
        Have you visited the NRI internet banking? You can not browse easily through the website. They do not have direct link to close your account. It is a very tedious process to maneouvre the website.

        I can not trust the money transaction by risking as there is always phishing going on.

        Recent incident


        I had Rs. 15, 115 balance as of September 23, 2008 (well above Rs. 15, 000 balance minimum not even known/ disclosed to me at the time of opening my account on August 16, 2008 at Patna, Bihar).
        My Account no. is[protected]It is no longer confidential, good for internet banking because of PRIVACY).
        I was given Debit card (which can't be used in USA and the charges were not disclosed.
        They deducted Rs. 224 on November 5, 2008 which brought the balance to Rs. 14, 891.00 (below Rs. 15, 000 minimum rquired). This helped ICICI Bank to start bilking me and charging Quarterly fees of Rs.843 (charged on February 3, 2009) and again receently Rs. 827 on April 16, 2009.
        I was charged total of Rs. 1, 894 for my account that started with Balance of Rs. 15, 115 (I paid 12% to the bank, rather than getting paid as interest).

        Can this happen in USA? You bet NOT.
        We NRIs and Indians are treated like TRASH by PRIVATE Banking as ICICI Bank, ING BANK.

        I still believe in State Bank of India (Excepting too slow for changes).

        I was planning for furure to put in Rs. 20 Lacs in Fixed Deposit in ICICI Bank for purchasing Apartment this year. I just opened to experience the phenominal changes in INDIA (I visited after 1992) and was ghastly disappointed.
        HINESTY is no longer the best POLICY. DECPTIVE practices and quick profits will DESTROY INDIA.s ECONOMY.
        WAKE up People ???

        Easy solution to avoid any QAB charges...!!! Open a FD of 25000 INR under your customer id and your accounts become 0 balance..!! as log as you have that FD. More over its not that your balance goes below 15000 INR and bank will penalize you straight away.!! Its a QAB - Quarterly Average Baance.

        You have a leverage to keep as good as 0 INR in your account for 45 days. just fund your account with 30000 INR for rest 30 days... NO CHARGES..!!!

        Tips. Keep a track on your statements .. Atleast check them once every month..!!

          Respected sir

          I am to submit that I am having SB account bearing No.[protected] in ICICI Bank, Tirupati.Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh.

          In this connection I am to submit that while issuing me a ATM card. The above said ATM Division has promised to keep " 0 " balance. I have been made many transactions since 2004. But unfortunately I noticed in the year 2008 that an amount of Rupees above One Thousand and odd was recovered date not exactly not known and again on 20/4/2009 Rs. 827/- again recovered as QAB Charges with out any kind of intimation.

          With this action taken by the ATM Division of ICICI Bank.I was much felf inconvinience in with drawing the amount from the ATM Counter and fooled in front of others. Which cause much mental egony.

          As such I requst you to take necessary action acording to Law which the ATM Division of ICICI Bankt caused to me and arrange to inform me if any act made against the " 0 " balance.

            ICICI squeezing the blood of house loans customer - the facts are here

            i took house loan of 1800000 in aug 2005 at 7.5% interest rate, soon the interest have been increased to 9, 11.5 and then 13% pa. I had requested ICICI thru various channels for interest rate reduction, every time i got the same geneirc cut/paste response. Every time they tried to educate me about PLR. Finally i moved to another bank at low interst rate, Suprisingly the out standing loan amount while closing the loan acctoun with ICICI was 17, 99, 000 after including fore closure chares of 2.21%. During the 44 months period i had paid to ICICI nearly 7, 68, 000 for EMI, but i could see only 1000 drop in my outstanding loan amount. (is 1000 = 768000, perhaps is correct with ICICI)

            ICICI just squeezing the blood of house loans customer. I am not sure what statuory bodies doing in respect of protecting customers and virtual robbery of customers by banks in the name of foreclosure charges. I think all banks collectively playing this game.

            What is happeing to leading US bank( about collaspe), what happend to leading Indian IT company( accouting mal practices) -So nothing is static - I am sure ICICI will soon collapse - Offcourse companies can survive for short term by showing attaractive results but not always. I do not think the day is far away to see that for ICICI bank ... ...

              Sir,

              I have taken Home Loan from ICICI bank (LBMUM[protected]). This is floating one. While taking the loan I had been informed by them that when rate of interest increase it will automaticaly increase & reduces with same fashion. But now these peaople are asking to pay 1.93% amount on balance amount. I did checked with them before 1 month they said that its 0.5%. Which increased without intimetion.
              Now how can this be resolved? ICICI Bank is never trusted & transperent. Everything remains hidden under cover.

              Please help me out.

              When RBI increased repo rates the banks (private like ICICI) pushed the burdens on Consumers within hours of the announcement but when the same when down they reduced deposit rates within hours but loan rates remain where they were there. RBI should understand the they are using TAX PAYERS money to give these benifits and at the end of the day some capitalists like ICICI and taking the benifits out of it..
              please help and have fair deal.
              Hi i am resident of South Mumbai i have applied for housing loan from ICICI Bank my loan approval has happened almost 3months back and all related documents for Loan processing has been submitted to Valsad branch which in turn has forwarded for Loan disurbsement to Surat branch since last @75 days but till 2day my physical loan disbursement has not happened and whenever we try Surat ICICI Branch phone number there is no conform reply as to when things will happen .I have been left with felling of total frustration and would really think hard in future for any dealing with ICICI Bank as there is no Customer Support from there end.

              Write to Banking Ombudsman under copy to Reserve Bank of India. Many people have complaints against ICICI.

                Dear Sir,
                I had submitted my EPF application in June 2008. Iam an ex employee of ICICI Bank, having employee no.-130328. I had submitted completed form 10C for withdrawal of EPF amount. ICICI Bank had also submitted my EPF application to RPF commissioner in January 2009.

                They had given me the contact number at [protected] for checking the status of EPF withdrawal. However nobody picks up the phone and it always remian busy. Moreover till date I have not received any cheque or credit to my account for EPF claim.

                My account no. is MH/18796/52775.

                Kindly advice.

                  I have a saving A/C at ICICI.I tried to withdraw an amount of Rs.10000 with my ICICI Visa card from SBI ATM.Money has not been dispenced by machine but money was debited from A/C. I made a complaint at ICICI Customer care .1st time the commited for refund in 7 working days but that does not happend.i asked for the details of withdrawl. As per the detail provided by ICICI the money was withdrawan from SBI Hajipur.But I never tried from Hajipur ATM.
                  I made this complaint to 2nd level Ms. Madhuri Jaiswal, she commited that money will be refunded in 12 working days.Even after 12 working days there is no responce from ICICI.What is the legal process which I should go for to get my money back.
                  Is our money is safe at ICICI???

                    I have every reason to believe that the complaints against ICICI Bank by customers are cent percent true and in many cases the customers are not realizing the depth of the frauds being committed by the bank. My experience is also very bitter.
                    1. Before leaving to Dubai in 2004, I converted my ICICI Bank SB Account to NRO account by submitting all the required documents at Vashi Branch. The Bank assured me that everything has been taken care of at Dubai. However when I approached them to activate my account, they informed me that Dubai branch has intimation about my account. The Bank informed me that they could not locate the documents at Vashi Branch and as such I should resubmit the papers. I was unable to encash my salary cheques for 4 months. I just survived to suffer & return.
                    2. De-mat account - On the pretext of destroyed documents in the floods, my account is de-activated. My requests to activate it fell on deaf ears for the last 3 years. However, they are very prompt in deducting de-mat account charges well in advance. Demat charges for the year 2009-10 is deducted in October 2008 from the accounts of demat account holders. They have no shame in charging exorbitant rate for demat charges and for accouts deactivated by them due to their fault
                    3. My income tax refund order for 2, 400/- submitted with ICICI bank in in 2004/- is not yet credited so far.
                    4. Bounced cheques - They deliberately bounce cheques citing signature mismatch - I have at least 4 cheques with me. This is also one excuse for the bank to squeeze money out of customers.
                    5. ICICI BANK Home loan - I started with 7.75%interest rate on my home loan. Now I pay around 16% on my home loan. They will not tell you what are the hidden charges and every month how muhc they are additing to your home loans.
                    Everywhere we give our telephone nos, mobile nos, e-mail address or residential address. However, the Bank will not contact you for anything. They are waiting for a chance to squeeze you. I wonder for whom they are working.

                      This is the email that I have sent after getting totally frustrated

                      I have a booking with Kingfisher under Reservation code – GUWPMQ. I have booked these tickets on 19-Apr-2009 from flykingfisher.com using my ICICI Bank Credit Card.



                      It is observed that the merchant (KINGFISHER) broke my total transaction of INR 31, 082/- into 4 parts –

                      The above table is a glimpse of charges levied on my Credit table.



                      I have been observing my Credit Card statement and the balance credit limit showed a drastic low figure. Thus, I got in touch with my bank and they reported back to me that the transactions levied above are displayed in my card. But, there is an additional claim of INR 31, 082/- from Kingfisher which is in PENDING STATUS for which my credit limit is reserved. This is the reason that my balance credit limit is showing a drastic low figure. On further conversation with ICICI the person on the other end reported to me that there is a trouble with KINGFISHER system due to which double debit claims from KINGFISHER website.



                      I am detailing so much since I don’t care where the trouble is. What I am bothered is that I am unable to use my credit card due to drastic low credit limit available to me. In this entire matter there was no fault from my side and yet I am penalized for no reason at all.



                      With all this I have only two queries –

                      · Would either ICICI or KINGFISHER pay my bills or additional interest due on my bills which I am unable to pay due to unnecessary credit limit blockage?

                      · By when would I have my CREDIT LIMIT freed up?





                      I know that it is a holiday today. But, yet hoping to hear something from your side.

                      I have booked above ticket thru internet, the name details I had put exactly as payment showing in payment gateway, they have issued ticket in my fathers name.
                      I have cancelled 1st ticket and paid rs 750/- cancellation charges.

                        I have two personal loans from icici bank no.LPAJM[protected] AND LPAJM[protected].PREVIOUSLY I WAS EMPLOYED WITH NPIL AJMER AND MY SALARY DATE WAS 1ST OF EACH MONTH BUT NOW i HAVE RELOCATED TO JAIPUR. IWAS OUT OF JOB FOR THREE MONTHS FROM DEC 08 NOW I HAVE JUST JOINED .NOW MY SALARY DATE IS 7TH OF EACH MONTH. THERE TWO ISSUES
                        1) THE INSURANCE GIVEN BY BANK FROM ICICI LOMBARD REGARDING PAYMENT OF OF 3 EMI S DURINGLOSS OF JOB IS NOT BEING CLEARED BY THEM.
                        2) THEY ARE NOT READY TO CHANGE THE ECS DATE DUE TO WHICH MY CREDIT IS BEING EFFECTED AS WELL AS UNNECESSARY CHARGES ARE BEING LEVIED.NEITHER THEY ARE READY TO CANCEL ECS.

                          Hi,

                          I deposit a cheque in ICICI Bank Safdarjung Branch Delhi on 17th November 2008 with my one of my collegue.His cheque is credited to his account but my check was lost by Bank.

                          After visting to the same branch they said that I need to contact with customer care for this.

                          Let me explain you the scenerio :- Me and my friend visited branch and deposit a cheque after filling slip.

                          We went to the Bank employee to take his signature but he denied that "we are not giving signature for any cheques in this branch, you have to go with the stamp only on the acknowledgement slip"

                          I have that slip and Cheque number, I have scanned copy of both acknowledgement slip if required.

                          I am trying to make regular contact but no result found . I am attaching follow up mail with the bank ...

                            have received information from the bank regarding defaulting in credit cards of icici Bank and my name is listed in the Defaulter List of CIBIL.

                            I have done full and final settlement

                            But icici Bank has not send the data to CIBIL. MY credit card has declined because of the wrong information given by the bank to CIBIL.

                            I seek justice to get my names removed from the defaulter list with an immediate effect. I am ready to give all the proof and settlement letters issued by the concerned credit cards provider.

                            Please help to remive my name from civil.

                            Looking forward to a suitable action at the earliest form your end.

                            ICICI Bank Credit Card — Name appears in CIBIL

                            Hi

                            I have made a settlement in Jan 2008 through a Demand Draft of ICICI Bank and had given to the collection agency of the bank. they have misplaced my DD and put my name in defaulters list. Bcoz of which I am u unable to get a loan. Have requested to look into the matter but they are not at all supportive. Please guide me as i have the settlement letter and the copy of DD.

                            ICICI Bank — CIBIL record update for credit card

                            Hi,
                            I have a ICICI Bank credit card number 4477 XXXX XXXX 6006 which shows an overdue in the CIBIL record. This has been stopping me from getting my home loan sanctioned. After repeatedly querying with the bank, they sent me the current statement which shows no outstanding dues on the card. But even after repeated requests the bank is not responding to my queries towards the closure of the account and removal of the entry from CIBIL record. This shows the pathetic nature of the bank and the reluctance towards responsible service to the customer. I am having extreme financial strain to pay my home loan from my own resources because of this. I would like to send this message to every person who views this message. PLEASE BE BEWARE OF ICICI BANK. I am literally frustrated with the poorest service level of such a big bank.

                              This is with reference to the captioned subject regarding the dubious transactions made on my Add on Card which is issued in my wife Nisha Atrey's name (Card No. [protected]). As my card was repeatedly declined by your system, to check the reason I called up your customer care no.[protected]. During the call I learnt that the total amount due as per the automated system is Rs. 77200/- which is huge and incorrect as we have not bought articles of such high amount. Further it is learnt that all the transactions reflecting under the add on card of my wife are Incorrect as we have not purchased anything from respective merchant locations (as mentioned in the statement).

                              Due to all these transactions, there is a charge of Rs. 500/- levied for limit exceed, with no fault from our end. Kindly get these charges reversed while doing the reconciliation.

                              All these transaction are neither carried out by me or my wife nor have we authorized anyone to transact while using the said card. Therefore, all these transactions are disputed and needs to be reversed so that we can continue this relationship.

                              Further, in the evening of 7th Apr 09 when I once again called up to clear my doubt of how come the card can be used in duplicate especially when we have the original lying in our cupboard. While the call was initially attended my Mr. Sunil from whom when I confirmed by mailing address which is available in your records, it was found that the same was not updated. Further as my cards are getting elapsed it was a possibility that renewed cards might have been dispatched for us and are delivered in wrong hands. Unfortunately my fear came true, as per your records my mailing address was still reflecting as under:

                              M1/5, Plot No, 11, Shiksha Enclave,
                              Sect-6, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad,

                              Whereas my correct and current add is as under:

                              B-506, Aditya Garden City, GH4,
                              Sect 6, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad.

                              I asked for the same update to happen when I last called up your Customer care executive to redeem my reward points. I have neither received the imint card as well till date. These details were later updated (as confirmed to me) by Mr. Imran from Dispute department. While enquiring, it was confirmed that the new cards are dispatched and received under wrong identity of my wife, as we have not received the new cards till date and still we hold the same cards which are getting elapsed in this month.

                              All the above mentioned points were also mentioned in the letter sent by me to the respective Dispute department of ICICI Bank, in the form of scanned image sent on [protected]@icicibank.com.

                              At the time of lodging the complaint it was assured to me that as these transactions does not below to you, the same would be duly reversed post their own internal verifications.

                              On 27th Apr 09, I received a correspondence from the said bank (scanned image of the same are attached for ready reference) stating that mentioned transactions are to be borne by me which is wrong. They have also sent across the Charge Slips which are signed by the person who has this card with him wherein my name is written as signature although the card swiped is that of my wife Nisha Atrey. The signatures are also forged.

                              As mentioned earlier as well, this is clear case where cards are delivered to a wrong person and subsequently being misused. To confirm the same, as per the charge slip which is duly generated by the ICICI Bank System Exp date is mentioned as 04/13, whereas cards which are with me are already elapsed, as expiry date mentioned on these cards is 04/09.

                              Further, the same card is used twice at fuel station in Noida and the both the charge slips carries the same vehicle registration no. UP16S1452 and I do not own this vehicle as I have only one vehicle which has Delhi Registration plate. Even after having this proof the said bank has not take the pain to investigate on the basis of mentioned registration no. to find out the culprit. On the contrary they are asking me to make the payment and also are levying extra charges for the same.

                              This is serious concern and has caused mental agony and harassment and the same should be dealt with all the strict measures to penalize the main culprit.

                                  dear sir,
                                  i maintain always my account balance above 5000 ( account number[protected], Sigra branch, ICICI bank, varanasi ) but bank has deducted minimum balance charge from my account(827/-). it seems that minimum balance limit is increased but bank has not informed me about it.(my phone number and email id is registered with bank and they always use it for their advertisment and transaction information).
                                  when i talk to branch manager on mobile number [protected] then he asked me to send a application regarding matter. this is not fare because bank is responsible to inform me about such type of changes he made about minimum balance limit.
                                  kindly take proper action so that the bank returns me above amount(827/-).

                                    my credit card [protected], has overdues. Icici bank thru their credit manager amol kulkarni-pune[protected], is sending recovery agents/ gundas at my home specially when i am away at work so that they can insult, harass and threaten my wife for recovery.

                                    I have repeatedly told this kulkarni and his goons tht they shud cm with proper document for final settlement but they are passing time.

                                    ICICI as an organisation continues to use criminals as an important part of their team to harass and manhandle the customers.As citizens of India, we must blacklist this bank.

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      I am a ICICI Bank Account Holder. On 22.04.2009 evening at 6.30 Pm I was using AXIS Bank ATM at PIMPRI (PUNE). Suddenly there was Power failuer and the card was stuck inside.
                                      I was told by the ATM Security Gaurd that My card will be sent to My bank (ICICI Bank).

                                      The next day 23.04.2009 was Holiday due to ELECTION. When I contacted my Bank on 25.04.2009, I got reply from there that if the card is stuck in other banks ATM the Bank destroys the CARD and DO NOT RETURN it to the CARD HOLDERS Bank.

                                      When contacted AXIS Bank they also gave same reply that they have many such cards and they destroy the cards for SECURITY Purpose.

                                      Now I have to apply for new DEBIT Card for which ICICI Bank is Charging me 200 + Service tax + 99 Rs annual maintainance charges.

                                      Why must I pay when it was not my fault, I was using the CARD at other banks ATM because ALL ATM's are free to use now.

                                      Please help. As the AXIS Bank ATM did not had back UP and they are using ATM machines which sollowes the card.

                                      I hereby agree by the complaint of the customer, because its no fault of his for which he has to pay for the duplicate card & otherwise. If suppose he gets his duplicate card and it may again get swallowed next time too by one or the other ATM, what's his next choice? To pay for next duplicate card.
                                      And If his fortune is in the grip of the ShaniDevta, he may keep paying for the next many sollowed cards.
                                      Customer should not be forced to pay for the no fault of his. Rather he should be consoled for the inconvenience.
