This is with regards to my ICICI Credit Card, the Bank is sending me Statement Every Month for the Late Payment Fess, Interest & Service Tax. I have made all my payments on time still they have charged me the late payment charges and whenever I have called their customer care for this they informed that they will waived the charges in next statement. But they have not waived the charges till date. I have cancelled the card long back. Several times I have called up their Customer Care to resolve the issue but it was a pathetic experience to talk with them. I have sent letter through Fax and Registered AD to their Consumer Cell Head at Hyderabad & Mumbai Office but no feed back from them. Still I am receiving the statements from them and now they are harassing to pay the charges.

    09 Feb 09 I got Messges on my mobile
    Dear Amit K Garg you made the transaction of INR 7000 on your card at Bharti Celluler
    I got this type of 8 messages with diffrent amount of transaction, Total 30, 000 amount transect at Bharti Celluler from my credit card.
    Releated to transactions of my ICICI Credit Card which has't do by me, I called on customer care and enquired for same and requested to block my credit card and verification of those transaction.
    After 2 days again i enquired for same but i haven't get any feed back from there side consern persone was saying process is going on they are investigeting after competion of prosess they will inform me.

    But my credit card was with me i haven't given my credit card or information of credit card to any one then how it is possible, any one can do transaction from my credit card and all the transaction are done at Bharti celluler with in 10 minutes.
    If any one has done the transaction then bank should provide complete information about that because they can track transaction but I can't. they are not providing Information also.

      Dear Sir/Madam,

      Through this mail I would like to bring to your kind notice the fraud which has happened to my ICICI Credit Card on 30th June 08 by my room partner (Kanwarjeet Singh Sethi) and after I have lodged a police complaint in this regard, he has been caught red handed by the Police Authority with my credit card and all the merchandise (Total Transaction Rs. 49047/-) which he has purchased through my credit card. Further I would also like to bring to your notice that the matter is SubJudice before the District Court of Gurgaon.


      In order to safe guard my interest, I have brought this fraud to the notice my banker (ICICI) through several Telephonic calls and mails and as per their instructions, I have also lodged a written complaint along with a copy of FIR ( FIR Number 176 dated 2nd July 2008) and other relevant information with the ICICI and accordingly the Bank has given me a temporary credit for the amount.


      But on Sunday (25th Jan'09), I was shocked to see that the ICICI Bank has debited my ICICI Bank Saving Account for Rs. 55490.79/- on 20/01/2009, being the amount towards the Principal transaction and the Interest on the principal and that too without any authorization and prior intimation.


      In this regards the Bank Branch has advised me to contact their Collection Division at Rohini and accordingly I have discussed my concern with Mr. Sushil Rana, Branch Manager, Credit Card Department, SD Community center, Sector-8, Rohini, Delhi. (His Personal Contact No. +91-[protected]) on 29th January but nothing concrete has been done on the subject as on the date.


      Now keeping in mind the severity of the matter, I wanted to report the following concern with you:


      • Despite having all the knowledge by the ICICI Bank of the fraud, the act o[censored]nilateral deduction from my Saving Account (ICICI saving Account No[protected] amounts to Forgery by ICICI Bank.

      • Despite acting diligently and acting in bonafide, if the customer like me is still on the losing side, then what is the regulatory mechanism to curb the arbitrarily practice adopted by the Private Banks (ICICI).


      After undergoing so many problems and suffering due to the Irresponsible behavior by the ICICI Bank, I have been subjected to the Mental Trauma.


      Therefore, I would request your personal intervention in this matter to resolve this matter at the earliest. Also I wanted to brief you in this regard in person, if possible.


      Following are the certain important details in this case:


      A. The details of the transactions are as follows:

      1) Rs.10199/- At Big Bazaar
      2) Rs.2280/- at Woodland
      3) Rs.5397/- at RPG Celcom Pvt.Ltd.
      4) Rs.20950/- at Hot Spot
      5) Rs.3900/- at Sahara Mall
      6) Rs.5000/- at Reebok
      7) Rs.1321/- at Reebok

      Total Transaction amount: 49047


      B. The details of my ICICI Credit Card are as follows:

      Please see trailing mail and communication happened between me and ICICI Senior Official People. Now there are not picking my phone calles. Being a Lawyer I am suffering that much harassment from ICICI Bank than just imagin the sitiuation and see they can do any thing to any body else.

      I have seen the forwarded mail that has come to me. Although its not clear to me, what action you are going to take to resolve my problem. Yesterday i tried to contact you and Mr.Saurabh Ganguli but he has not picked up my call and you also seems to be busy After reading the trailing mail, I understand that the Senior Official’s of ICICI Bank Credit Card Division are not willing to help in my case, as even after explaining my problem in detail. Now you people don’t have the courtesy to attend my call and explain me the current status of my complaint. If this is the kind of solution that you would provide to your Customer, then I think that I should highlight this thing on the larger scale. For this purpose only I have contacted few Print Media and Television Media people to help in getting my concern heard at the Management Level of ICICI Bank.



      Further more, for your information I am qualified Advocate and I am persuaded to take this matter to the next level and now I am moving to the consumer court for the early redressal of my concern and i have to make you also a party to it. Also I have spoken to Shri H Kulshreshtha
      Banking Ombudsman Reserve Bank of India Building 2nd Floor, 6, Sansad Marg New Delhi – 110001 for the Delhi / NCR Region and they have also assured me quick relief in my case.



      I would also like to bring to your notice that I am working with Chess Management Services Private Limited, owned by Mr. Kartik P. Chidambaram, son of Hon'ble Home Minister Mr. P Chidambaram. I have discussed the matter with my management and they have assured me that they will take up this matter with nothing satisfactory done at your level.

      ICICI Debit card cum ATM Card/Credit card — Grievance pertaining to my ICICI Credit Card fraud and unauthorized deduction from my ICICI Bank Saving Bank Account.

      Dear Sir/Madam,

      I have already written complaint to you earlier regarding my credit card fraud please refer the trailing mail, after your intervention/response one of Senior Official from ICICI Bank, Credit Card Division Hyderabad 500 034 namely Mr S. Venketswara Relationship Manager (Direct No [protected] ) called me up and gave me false telephonic assurances that their team is looking after my case but nothing concrete has been done on the subject as on the date after having almost three weeks.

      Yesterday on 24th day of February Mr S. Venketswara Relationship Manager ICICI Bank, Credit Card Division Hyderabad told me on his telephonic conversation that he is not responsible for my case and denying the same of his earlier telephonic assurances in which he has given me assurances that certainly he will be resolving my case within four working days and also he will be sending mail to me.

      Nether he is giving me his Official Bank Email Id nor given me satisfactory answer and the concerned person's name and address from his bank to whom should I approach for my grievances.

      Through this mail once again I would like to bring my issue with ICICI Credit Card department in your notice. I think you will certainly help me out in this regard.

      This issue will not only help me but some of the other people suffering from irresponsible behavior from Credit Card Department and unfair trade practice adopted by the Private Banks (ICICI).

      Kindly go through the mail, i wrote to ICICI Bank at different levels. this kind of several mails i have written counting up to 40 nos.

      The Payment is deducted without my knowledge & permission.

      Now keeping in mind the severity of the matter, I wanted to report the following concern with you:


      • When the person who is caught red handed by the police authority with my credit card and all the merchandise which he purchased through my credit card and when the matter is also subjudice before the District Court of Gurgaon then why this deduction happened?
      • Despite having all the knowledge by the ICICI Bank of the fraud, the act o[censored]nilateral deduction from my Saving Account (ICICI saving Account No[protected] amounts to Forgery by ICICI Bank.
      • Without my permission and/or information how the ICICI Bank deducted my Saving Bank Account No[protected] for my credit card payment?
      • This is unjust, unfair and amounts to forgery.
      • When ICICI Bank doesn’t have credit card fraud detection & prevention system and a proper customer care system dedicated to Credit Card misuse, why they are issuing credit card to the people?

      • Despite acting diligently and acting in bonafide, if the customer like me is still on the losing side, then what is the regulatory mechanism to curb the arbitrarily practice adopted by the Private Banks (ICICI).



      I will be very much thankful to you if you take initiative to resolve my issue.

      Dear Sir,



      As per telephonic conversation happened with you regarding the dispute of my ICICI Credit Card and as desired by you I've already sent you mail regarding FIR & Rejected Bail Plea for the person who has stolen my credit Card for your verification and by seeing the trailing mail you can understand that we have already talked about the issue and you promised me to get back to me in 7 days of time but I did not get any reply from your side and nothing concrete has been done on the subject as on the date.



      Again this is my last mail to you through this mail I would like to bring to your kind notice the fraud which has happened to my ICICI Credit Card on 30th June 08 by my room partner ( Mr Kanwarjeet Singh Sethi) and after I have lodged a police complaint in this regard, he has been caught red handed by the Police Authority with my credit card and all the merchandise (Total Transaction Rs. 49047/-) which he has purchased through my credit card. Further I would also like to bring to your notice that the matter is SubJudice before the District Court of Gurgaon.





      In order to safe guard my interest, I have brought this fraud to the notice my banker (ICICI) and their customer care through several Telephonic calls and mails and as per their instructions, I have also lodged a written complaint ( ICICI Complaint No. SR[protected] along with a copy of FIR and other relevant information with the ICICI and accordingly the Bank has given me a temporary credit for the amount.





      But on Sunday (25th Jan'09), I was shocked to see that the ICICI Bank has debited my ICICI Bank Saving Account for Rs. 55490.79/- on 20/01/2009, being the amount towards the Principal transaction and the Interest on the principal and that too without any authorization and prior intimation.





      In this regards the Bank Branch has advised me to contact you at your Collection Division Credit Card Department, SD Community center, Sector-8, Rohini, Delhi and accordingly I have discussed my concern with you on 28th January’ 09 but nothing concrete has been done on the subject as on the date.





      Now keeping in mind the severity of the matter, I wanted to report the following concern with you:





      Despite having all the knowledge by the ICICI Bank of the fraud, the act o[censored]nilateral deduction from my Saving Account (ICICI saving Account No[protected] amounts to Forgery and when the matter is also subjudice before the District Court of Gurgaon then why this deduction happened?.


      Despite acting diligently and acting in bonafide, if the customer like me is still on the losing side, then what is the regulatory mechanism to curb the arbitrarily practice.






      After undergoing so many problems and suffering due to the Irresponsible behavior by the ICICI Bank, I have been subjected to the Mental Trauma.





      Therefore, I would request your personal intervention in this matter to resolve this matter and revert my amount debited from my saving account(Saving Bank Account No[protected] at the earliest with your reply of this mail otherwise I will have to carry on with legal proceedings.

        I am an middle class citizen of mumbai, i have took loan of Rs. 11.4 lacs from ICICI bank on floating intrest rate of 8.5%

        Q1. as a bank icici keep increasing the rate whenever it is applicable on immidiate basis and when it reduces icici keep thinking for months to reduce why? my current rate is going on as 12 or 13% how a middle class person will afford to pay?

        Q2. after all this i decided to transfer my loan to some other bank [not closing] due to above mention reason, now icici wants 2% pre closure charges for the same which is not les than 22000 and till date what i paid in 2year 5month the principle amount paid is less than preclosure charges. so today after 2&1/2 year i stand at same place from where i have started?

        Q3. there was an article i have read in some news paper where HC has mentioned that if person is transfering his loan than he should not be charged for preclosure fees as he is transfering and not closing the loan. can you help me?

          Hi,

          I am using ICICI bank credit card for past 3 years.I have accumulated 1866 reward points. So I decided to buy fuel using HP petro card using the reward points. Accordingly in November, 2008 I made a request to redeem reqward points by HP petro vouchers worth Rs. 750.They redeemed my reward points.But when I filled up fuel from HP petrol pump worth Rs. 1000 using ICICI bank credit card, they didnot deduct Rs. 750 from the petrol bill. When I enquired after getting credit card statement, they informed me that the card is swapped via non ICICI bank swapping machine and thats why they didnt deduct Rs.750.But they didnot inform me this before buying the pertol .They only told me that I have to fill up from HP petrol pump using ICICI credit card.Meanwhile they reward points have expired
          They concealed information and I have suffred financial loss of Rs. 750.

            This is to request you that I am holding a credit card of you esteem bank since March 2007. My old card no is [protected] on behalf of this card I gave a request to bank for new card because my old card strip was not working and after two days bank dispatched the new card and I did not receive this card. That was card delivered to my old office address at Progressive Times Planner Pvt. Ltd., I -11, LGF, Lajpat nagar – II, New Delhi, and Progressive people swiped this card in company EDC terminal and make two transactions one for Rs .90, 000 and second for Rs. 13, 000 and immediately I got the bank SMS. I informed the bank to stop the payment to merchant and to block my card. I gave the complained the bank by e-mail and fax. I lodged a Police complaint against Progressive Times Planner Pvt. Ltd. at Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi Police Station.

            After that I got a letter from bank side to solve the fraud transaction and I got my credit limit reversed in bank monthly credit card statement. When I received my next statement, the bank again debited the above said transactions. Neither the amount was given to the merchant nor did it return back to me and now the bank is adding that amount in my monthly credit card statement with interest. I am not ready to pay that money, which is not provided to me by the bank and not used by me, that too with interest.

            Currently the bank is saying that the payment is on hold but no specific reason is explained to me. Kindly, credit the transactions as well as the amount and interest, which I am paying to the bank for last 3 months, in my card. It is my kindness that I am paying that amount just because I don’t want to spoil the healthy relations with ICICI Bank.

            Kindly take actions in this regard.

              I am holding ICICI platinum, Titanium, Gold, Future Gold credit cards of ICICI Bank. 6 Months before I went to one of the ICICI Branch in Pune for my Credit Card Statement. It was immediately required for submitimg it to the HSBC Bank for Balance Transfer. I Requested the Brach Executive that " I have not Received my Hard Copy Statement & I have brought my E-Statement along with me. I want bank stamp on it. The Executive told me that it is not possible as Credit card Dept queries are not taken care in this branch. As I insisted saying that I require it urgently because my due date is close, the Execuitve told me that Rs 118 would be charged & the statement would be given from the branch itself. I Complaint Regarding this to the "Head Private Banking Officer". I got a call from The Head dept & even they agreeed that it was the Executives Responsibility to give the Stamp on the E-Statement. I asked for an Apology Letter for the same but the complaint no is still UNSOLVED( 'ICICICARE=[protected]' ). I have given Rs 50000/- Revenue to the Bank in the last 1year. Thanks ICICI.

              Have been a 16 year customer of ICICI and am ready to dump these incompetent folks. I have all sorts of accounts with them but the worst of the lot are ICICI Direct folks. They lost my account opening papers in a transfer (after the account has been open for the last 8 years) and sent me a letter to refurnish details again.

              a. Why in the world would someone move papers after 8 years?
              b. No copies are maintained?
              c. How dumb of someone to inform that we have lost your identity and its our fault and we have no remorse on it. Wish it was a western nation and these folks would have danced the jingle then
              d. Someone called Ashish called from ICICI direct called and spoke about me cooperating to submit the docs which they had lost. Talk about humility and an apology. I told him to go hang himself off the nearest tree.

              Then someone unwittingly decides to reset the charges on my account for ICICI Direct to double of what was agreed upon in writing. My relationship manager is so lost that it takes him 7 months to figure out what the issue is. Lo and behold the trades made in the interim result in a Rs 35, 000/- excess transaction charges. So instead of apologizing for the reset, they refuse to acknowledge and refund the charges.

              The most unprofessional and unfair business conduct I have encountered so far...

                This is reference to above subject in 2003, I had this credit card and 2004 I have made settlement for this card by paying Rs.18, 000 in four installments as agreed with the Bank (issued post dated cheques against bank receipts). But 27th Jan 2009 Rs .5, 359.23 debited from my savings A/c No[protected] made that 0 balance. Against this immediately I called customer care and explained the transaction ref complaint no SR94927309 & visited to the Bangalore branch and given written compliant also.
                I have shown original receipts and bank statements to Ms. Anjali Mobile no [protected] & Mr. Ankur but they says its to be done from Mumbai and asked me to send a mail to customer care along with scanned copies of the receipts & statements. Again I have received call yesterday (10/02/2009)from your Hydrabad office and asked me to call on[protected] Mr. Abhineeth but no response from morning. Please help me to solve this issue i will wait another 7 days after that i have go for Legal option.

                  I am the Credit Card holder for the following cards:

                  ICICI HP Gold Card - [protected] since 05/06
                  ICICI Kingfisher Card- [protected] since 01/07

                  I am using the first card for more than 2 years and was endorsed by the bank with multiple cards against that. Now for so many months I am following up with different employees of the bank that I want to settle the amount and want a reversal on the unnecessary charges and interest levied on me. On contrary to that I receive stupid calls and I am getting harassed by the DSA agencies hired by the bank. This kind of verbal harassment is really giving me sleepless nights. Secondly when I called the customer service executive the 10th time, she is very casually saying that I cannot put a request for settlement as I am a normal payer and not a defaulter, so if I default for 2-3 months then only I can place a request for settlement. Here I am ready to settle the amount and the bank is not bothered, and just interested to put me in a debt trap and on the contrary put me on the verbal harassment by this goons hired by the bank. What they want is that I pay a min amount and be in their debt trap forever and they keep on enjoying interest from me.I have been a great customer for the bank by giving huge interest in personal loan and credit cards but now I will not entertain any of this. I am canceling my cards and warning the bank not to bother me with unnecessary calls or else I will take legal action.But needless to say they are still continiuing to harass me and telling me to do the min amount payment.Around 3-4 diffrenet ppl from different agencies call me.

                  Can you help me what are the regulations under RBI and how my problem can be solved and what actions can be taken against them.

                    This refers to the personal loan ( loan no [protected]) that I had taken from ICICI bank in January 2007.
                    This personal loan of Rs 4.5 lacs was given to me on the basis of a credit card of ICICI that i hold ( Credit card no ; [protected])

                    The reason i am writing you is; I was told that i would need to pay an EMI of Rs 12, 750.00 per month for 48 months.
                    i have been paying an EMI of more than Rs 12, 800 every month ( last payment was made on January 22, 2009 for Rs 13, 670.00)
                    I had made two payments after last due date ( in 2007), for which i was charged Rs 500 as late fee charge. This charge i had disputed. But to my utter surprise, every month the rate of calculation is done on the entire amount plus Rs 500 and it has now got compounded to Rs 31, 000 outstanding.

                    I have written number of times to ICICI bank log in ( from the site www.icicibank.com)
                    But no one is taking this problem seriously. Technically the bank may be right in levying these charges. i have been making payments every month which are Rs 1000 more than the EMI. It seems so obviously unfair. For making two payments late the charges that have been calculated are running into Rs 18000 ( the latest statement i received states EMI Rs 12, 750 plus late payment and other charges which are in excess of Rs 18, 000).
                    No one from the bank is paying any attention.

                    I hope you take serious note of my request.

                    Subject: Your letter no. BO ( Kol ) No. 5056/ 2008-09 dated 08.06.2009 (Case No. [protected]) against my complaints dated 17.03.2009 regarding excess charge by ICICI bank on my credit card.

                    Dear Sir,

                    Kindly refer my complaints against ICICI bank as per flowing date wise with the banks as well as RBI;

                    1. My letter dated 17.03.2009 addressing Mr. CVGoerge, RBI
                    2. My e mail dated 13.04.2010, 15.04.2010, 21.04.2010, 27.04.2010.
                    3. My e mail dated 26.05.2010, 23.06.2010, 24.06.2010 to [protected]@rbi.co.in to RBI OMBUDSMAN- attached for further reference.
                    4. Your reply with the case no [protected] dated 08.06.2009- attached for any further reference.


                    This is in reference to the complaints made against the above said bank, this is to inform you that that bank is now withdrawing my money from that account without informing me at all. When I made complaints with you last time, they automatically refunded whole withdrawal money to my account by the fear of RBI on that time and I was assuming that everything got settled with your involvement with the issue.

                    This is to inform you that they have withdrawn Rs. 13,809.00 on date 13.04.2010, Rs. 15,624.37 on date 23.12.2009 and Rs. 1,383.00 on date 29.05.2010 from my two accounts in that bank and both accounts have been my salary account. In total they have withdrawn Rs. 30,816.94 without the knowledge of me and this is also against your verdict given on that case. This is also against the ethics of my banking system in India. They are withdrawing the money form my bank account so that in actual sense they are the owner of that account, not individual who keeps account with them. By knowingly they are keeping one’s account in negative so that if any money comes to that account, they simply get the money in the name of certain bogus claims.

                    In this pretext I have requested my employer ( M/s GAIL INDIA LIMITED) to change my salary account and they have responded very well on time other wise this bank would have taken away every paisse from my account. Like only they have very bad report among the people. I have communicated this instance to this bank to all my colleagues and they have faced such stories from the same bank. They are planning to switch over to some banks or in process of that. ICICI bank has very bad report among the people of this country as they are not transparent in their business. If some is caught like me in their net they will be finished like anything. But interestingly even they are not listening to any RBI OMBUDSMAN for any suggestion.

                    I have also requested them to close my accounts with them but they are not coming up to this point. One of my accounts with them is attached to demat / share account. I have some feeling that if you people don’t take any action against them, they will even take my shares also. In this case I am going to write a letter to SEBI also as a precautionary step.

                    Even if I have visited their office in Bhowanipur, Kolkata with all my details for solving the problem and also met Mr. Mritunjay Kumar there and submitted my whole communications with the bank and RBI. Before that also some Mr. Mukherjee[protected] understood the problem for some time but irony is that that person has been transferred to some another place. But after lapse of few months now they are once again trying to take money from my account without solving the actual problem. Some months back, Mr. Anil from Hyderabad office has also confirmed that why bank officials are behind me as I have made payments on time. The problem with the bank is that if someone understands the problem, some other person comes on the next week seeking whole drama to be repeated once more to him. This may be a well planned scheme for fooling the customers like me. In actual sense I want to solve that problem but nobody is willing to activate on that issue. They have standard e mail for the customers for creating these non sense activities.

                    I have earned some 20,000 reward points on that credit card but they have refused to give me those reward points reimbursement. I am requesting them since four / five years back. Today that may be valued to some Rs. 40,000.00 as at that time it was valued to some Rs. 20,000.00. I have lost those rewards points also and I should be reimbursed those points along with compensation like what they are claiming with their bogus claims.

                    I have made complaints with that bank officials on so many occasions but they are very reluctant on that issue as they have made themselves for fooling others only. They are not seeing their own faults and they have challenged that RBI will do nothing in any case.

                    Even now they are sending some person for collecting the money to my house and if they send next time I will get FIR lodge with the nearby police station. This is very serious crime they are going to have by sending some gunda elements of the society. Even if they have hired something like that and they are threatening me every now and then. They don’t have any sense to talk to the customers like us.

                    Sometimes I feel very disappointed that why I got their credit card and internal feeling is that I should consult a good lawyer for their abnormal demand of money, frequent threatening calls / visit to my residence and irrelevant talk on my mobile no.

                    So request is there for you to get my money back along with enhanced / compensated reward points and close my account with them so that in near future also I may not be trapped into their nets. That bank may be penalized for such incident to the individual by strict action from your end. For which I would be obliged for you forever.

                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                        I am a sbi credit card holder Mr. Manoj Lahoti ([protected]) and always make payment through icici saving account cheques (*A/C No.[protected] every month since about a year. On 3rd Feb, i deposited a cheque of Rs.1800 towards sbi credit card payment numbered 192527. After 1 day, i get a result that my cheque has been dishonored. I am having sufficient balkance of Rs50, 000 in my icici account. When i contacted them, they said that signature was not verified. I would like to tell you that i made my single signature in my whole cheque book. I always keep 20 cheques signed as spare. and thereafter, when they were returning, they even did not confirm from me that whether this cheque has been issued by you or not. They returned and sbi charged 300Rs as a payment dishonor fee. Now i made it clear that these charges should be either levied or paid by icici bank as they think, that whatever they do, the customer will be paying the penalty without questioning them.

                        You tell me when i am signing all 20 cheque at a stretch after getting chequebook, how can it be different. There is no need of justification as you made a mistake. I request you to please credit my account for Rs.300 so the same i could transfer to SBI. I am in a process to close services of SBI card and the amount of Rs.300 will be always paid by you with interest if you don't do the needful in time.

                          ICICI Bank’s Refusal of Accident Insurance Claim

                          Regarding the denial of accidental insurance by ICICI Home Finance for a housing loan applicant (who died in an accident), victim's father is having a dispute with ICICI Since 2004. The victim died immediately after taking only the first installment of the loan. When his father approached the bank to refund the amount (without using it, with in one week), they advised him to submit insurance claim (National Insurance), telling that the victim was having coverage (they said that every applicant will be offered this cover free of cost). Victim’s father filed the same and got the acknowledgement from the authorized signatory of the ICICI Bank. They said with in 3 months the pledged property documents will be returned as the insurance amount will be adjusted with the outstanding amount.

                          But months passed. Victim’s father wrote number of reminders and met the bank officials. But there was no sign of settlement.

                          Meanwhile the recovery agents used to visit the house/phone up and threaten to pay back the loan. The ICICI Bank sent a legal notice after one year in the name of the deceased. This shows that they have not recognized the very fact that the applicant is no more alive.

                          Like this years passed. Victim’s father was writing letters in regd. post, but there was no reply/response from Bank.

                          After 3 years, so as to end this type of situation, I had gone to the Bank and met the top man and apprised the case. After a week, the Bank sent a letter informing that the claim is rejected as per the terms and conditions of the captioned policy.

                          As we do not have the copy of the policy we requested them to give a copy for appreciating the terms and conditions. But they never gave it even today.

                          Meanwhile, the bank filed a complaint on victims father (2nd applicant of loan) in February 2008 in Lok Adalat that he is defaulter. In the Lok Adalat, the victim's father explained the case and requested the Lok Adalat to get him the policy copy from Bank. Lok Adalat asked the Bank to submit a copy before April end 2008 and settle the case with mutual agreement. But even today they have not given.

                          Victim's father filed a complaint in Banking ombudsman, by explaining the case, including the Lok Adalat's episode. When ombudsman asked the ICICI Bank to respond, it gave a reply that the case is pending at Lok Adalat. Based on that the Ombudsman rejected our application under clause 9(3)(d) of Banking Ombudsman Scheme 2006.

                          Immediately we wrote back to the Ombudsman that as the Bank failed to comply with directive of by Lok Adalat and the Lok Adalat made it clear that the Bank should only convince us by showing the policy copy, the case is no longer with Lok Adalat. By informing this to Lok Adalat we requested them intervene and do justice, there was no response.

                          At this background, can any body suggest us what to do next.

                            I had made online payment of LIC Premiun on 26/1/09. Due to site problem I had tried three times on 26/1/09 & two times on 27/1/09. But ICICI Bank had debited my S/B A/C No.[protected] five times on 27/1/09.When I made complaint to Bank they told to me that they had five times payment made to LIC of India sucessfully.Then I lodged complaint to LIC of India.They mailed me reply that we received only two payments. Out of which one adjusted with premium & issued premium receipt and another refunded to bank. I got premium receipt of one payment. Then I complaint to ICICI Bank but they are not giving proper answer and also not credited to my account

                                I have redeem around 1900 Reward points for my icici bank credit card but did not recieve the gifts. When asked for sending me proof of delivery the Bank is not responding. Everytime I make a customer service call, they are not able to provide me any info nor they connect me to their senior officers. Its a long time since 18 th nov. the date which is said to be the delivery date. Its more than 10 times i have called ICICI bank customer service but got no response. They give false commitments to provide the gifts within 7 days or they will provide the Proof of delivery. But i did not get any.

                                  this is really very bad to know that icici bank people are not educated .on 6b feb 3.08 PM i gave a call to delhi customer care number, i dont remember the name of person who was on line...but he does not have sense that if he can not handle the customer .he should swith the call to his senior..but.he had not switched the call to his senior .. this is pathatice.. i have come across a lot of time that only icici customer care people not as good as other banks like sbi, uti...
                                  i am really surprised inspite of all the thing no senior officers ever contacted...it seems everybody is involved in this...

                                  I called ICICI call center at 5:25pm on 18th feb 2010. I requested for my creditcard online account unlock, the representative named "Vanja" provided me wrong login id and when i tried to explain her that id i am using from last 2+ years is different. She said that what i was doing is incorrect and i dont know how to do it. She was very rude on call and said that if i dont listen to her she will disconnect the call. I asked her to transfer my call to the supervisor but she was not ready to do it and trasnfered my call to saving bank department.
                                  I disconnected and called back again, i spoke to sanjay he was calm and handled the situation very calmly. I checked with him and he confirmed that the id i was using from last 2 years is correct and he submitted the request for my online account issue.

                                    I am not having any account with ICICI Bank. Someone has given my mobile number for his account opening. That person is having credit card and he is not paying his dues on time. Hence, I am getting calls from the bank on frequent basis for the past three years asking for 'Mr. Alex Raj'. I have told several times to the bank to verify the concerned person account details but no steps were taken from their end.

                                    Today I received a call from the number[protected]. One lady introduced herself as calling from R2 Police station and asking for 'Mr. Alex Raj'. I told them that it was wrong call. Since I have doubt on the caller number, I contacted the above number and got to know that the call was from ICICI bank.

                                    This frequent nuisance calls from the Bank creates great agony to me and wasting my time also.

                                    Please take appropriate action against the bank

                                    I too keep getting calls from numbers like 67661100, 67661000 etc. The problem is they give a missed call. There is one ring and then the call is gone. I know these numbers are from ICICI but don't know whom to complain.

                                    I did take a home loan and have been paying regularly since the past five years. Then why these calls? I don't think this is the bank one should take a loan from.
                                    I agree with the above person. Even I keep on getting BLANK calls from this number which seems to be from ICICI Bank. When we call above number it gets engaged after a few rings.
                                    Can someone do something about this?
                                    I feel people should opt for better banks rather than non-professional bank ICICI. They just claim to give loans easily. The truth is that every bank takes the same documents. ICICI uses their agents who are completely untrained and have to go back to their bosses for every enquiry we make. I am suffering due to ICICI bank home loan. My experience with HDFC was just the opposite. They are just too good.

                                      I have taken a home loan of Rs.350000/- for 20 years tenure in floating interest rate. The Aggrement no: LBMUM[protected] Dtd. 15.04.03. The initial offer given was 7.75 interest rate. When the loan was accepted the interest rate fixed was 9.75with EMI Rs.3320/- per month for 20 years. After some months bank is lunch scheme to make the payment of 0.50% & reduce the rate of interest I am making payment for Rs. 1700/- in the month of September, 2004 but bank is increase the Rate of Interest on 07.02.2005 by 0.50% after one month increase by 0.50% 07.03.2005 after four month bank is again increase by 0.50% 07.08.2005, after nine month bank is increase by 0.50 07/05/2006 again the interest rate was changed to 9%, the EMI was kept constant but the tenure was increased to some more year.Again the interest rate hiked to 10% from 07/08/2006, the tenure increased to another few more years.on 07/02/2007 the interest rate at 10.5 & then increased to12.5% from 07/05/2007, & interest is increase 13.25% then 14% & reduce only 0.50 the tenure increased to the max. limit & EMI increased to 3684/- per month. Even after paying 66 EMI, the CL.Principal is found to be Rs.308738/-. The last tenure is found to be 07/03/2030 for complition at this stage. This may again increase to many extent. I want to know that whether there is any control of RBI or any other rules these private Banks follows, on Home loans. As per my view there is some cheating by the middle class people. Many times the bank was asked regarding the calculation for Tenure increasing & EMI increasing, but they are not providing. Now HOME loan rate of ICICI might have increased again, but they never intimate to the customer [Also note only one or two letter received from bank Increase rate of Interest]

                                      All Private & PSU Bank must have similar calculation. Kindly look into the matter so that I can get justice against this type of cheating of ICICI HOME FINANCE LTD. Many customers are also facing similar type cheating from ICICI.If this type of activity doing by bank, so how to trust the Bank????

                                      This is Deepak from Chennai. Whatever you told is absolutely true. I also took loan in ICICI in 2006 @ 7% pa but now repaying at 12.5%. When the bank increased the rates when other banks did, it is liable to decrase the same as well when other peers do.
                                      Also RBI has no control with any of the banks. The concept of "floating" means fluctuations as per market conditions. Now the banks are reducing the interest rate for new loans but nobody is caring for existing loans. The concept of "floating" doesn't make any sense at all.
                                      Now that you are an existing ICICI home loan customer, you can avail a new interest rate of 9.75%. The details of the same are given in the link below

                                      I got ICICI home load on 1-3-2005, for the amount of 550000 in the rate of 7.5%, the Emi is Rs. 3437/- for 20 years.
                                      After 5 months (i.e. from[protected] of this year the rate was inscreased to 8% .
                                      After nine moths (i.e. from[protected] the rate is increased to 8.5%.
                                      After 3 months (i.e. from[protected] the rate is increased to 9.5%.
                                      After 6 months (i.e. from[protected] the rate is increased to 10%.
                                      After three months (i.e. from[protected] the rate is increaed to 12%.
                                      After 13 months ( i.e. from[protected] the rate is increased to 12.75.
                                      After 4 months ( i.e.[protected] the rate is increased to 13.5%.
                                      After 3 months (i.e. 1.2.2009) the rates is decrreased to 13%

                                      see the interest floats with iregularity. They didt give information when the interest rate raising or decresing. this is not good. Now public sector banks reduced the rates to 8%. But ICICI was not reduced. Because their aim is only business-get mor profits and not worried about customers.They beahve as like Marvaadees(Ban-brokers/ retails-leasers-interest shoppers)
                                      It looks like I am one of the latest victim of this fraud.

                                      1. They increased the interest rate in June 2008. Kept the EMI constant and increased the Tenure. Note the letter send to me has nothing on how much the tenure increased due to .75 % increase.

                                      2. They again increased the interest rate by .75% and changed the tenure. There communication again didn;t have any thing on the increase in the number of installment.

                                      3. May 2009 they decreased the interest by .5% . But now I realized the loan which was originally meant for 20 hears has now become 28 years. It effectively mean for a 1 % rise in the interest rate they have actually increased the tenure by 8 years.

                                      I am lost and not sure what to do about it. Practically I would have liked them to hike my EMI and keep the tenure as fixed. Also it looks like this is done intentionally with lot of information being hidden.
                                      Hi All, I have taken a Home loan from ICICI of 15lac, my current interest rate is 10.50 flotting.I want to reduse the interest rate, for that ICICI Bank is charging me 1.94% on principal amount & changeing interest rate to 8.75 flotting interest rate and this has no were mention in aggrement, bank is saying that its our policy and we cannot show the policy.I would like to know is there any charage for conversion of interest rate from flotting to flotting and if there is no changes for this then please provide me the complaint email id or phone no.

                                      Gentlemen, I fully endorse this as I have experienced a similar harrrassment and torture. Imagine paying @ 14.5 percent !! Est forumsIcici bank has caused me mental harassment and emotional drain. I have started to hate the bank for their em at highmonopolistic attitude and extremely poor . Thanks for raising . Personally I wo like foreclose as quick as possible and then sue them at highest forums so that I get back with 10 times more interest then what I had been lynched for.
