Issue : i am unable to talk to indian customer service representative about getting an otp to generate the pin for my new debit card.
I am in usa and recently i received new debit card at my home in india, i have its details like number/cvv/expirty date etc with me. They did not send me the pin this time.
My register mobile number is deactivated so i can not get an otp on register mobile number. Neither i can call from that number to you/icici customer service.
So whenever i am calling icici customer service at +[protected], i selected option 1 for phone banking, then entered my 12 digit account number and after that selected 1 to "generate the pin"
But it says ivr needs me to call from my registered number only and call gets disconnected.
I tried many different ways, even once spoke with nri team person even he said i need to go through option 1 i. E phone banking and then entered account number and select 1 for "generate the pin" and
Then call with get connected to him (I. E nri team) again and then he will help me to get otp to "generate the pin".
But as i described above, after i entered account number and select 1 to "generate the pin", it repeats that message of ivr needs to call from registered number and call gets disconnected.
Last night, i spent almost 5 hours from 9pm to 2am est (Usa time), i am trying to speak to someone who can help me to get otp to "generate the pin".
*so basically if you dont have a registred nuumber active or dont have a pin, we can not talk to indian customer service??? *
This is so so frustrating for me (11 yrs of being a icici customer).
Can someone please help me??
Pls call me at +[protected]. Or should i just move to different bank when i am back in india?
Also let me know how to update usa number for internet banking.
