I, Mr. Ankit Satish Oswal, writing to formally raise a serious grievance regarding unauthorized transactions on my credit card and the subsequent closure of my dispute by ICICI Bank without providing any satisfactory investigation findings or supporting evidence.
Details o[censored]nauthorized Transactions
The following transactions were fraudulently carried out on 17 July 2026 without my knowledge, consent, or authorization:
• Rs. 30, 705 Reference No.[protected]
• Rs. 8, 000 Reference No.[protected]
Total Disputed Amount: Rs. 38, 705
I categorically state that I neither initiated nor authorized the above transactions, nor have I received any benefit from them. These transactions are clearly fraudulent and constitute unauthorized usage of my credit card.
Sequence of Events
Immediately upon receiving transaction alerts on 17 July 2026, I contacted ICICI Bank customer support and spoke with Ms. Radhika Narayanakar. After checking the bank's system, she informed me that no such transactions were visible in the bank portal at that time. I possess WhatsApp communication supporting this fact.
Subsequently, when I received my credit card statement, I discovered that the disputed transactions had been posted to my account. I immediately lodged a dispute through ICICI Bank Customer Care, which was registered under Service Request No. XXXXXXXX12.
Further, I submitted the duly signed Dispute Form at my home branch, ICICI Bank Talegaon Dabhade, and also provided the required documents and cooperation from my end without delay.
A mere statement that the merchant declined the dispute cannot be treated as a fair and transparent resolution of a fraud complaint, especially when the customer has consistently denied authorizing the transactions.
Cyber Crime and Police Complaint
Considering the seriousness of the fraud, I have already:
• Filed a complaint on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal along with supporting evidence.
• Submitted a complaint before the local Police Station and obtained acknowledgment.
Copies of all supporting documents can be furnished whenever required.
My Position Regarding Liability
I place on record that:
• The disputed amount of Rs. 38, 705 is completely unauthorized.
• I do not admit any liability whatsoever for these transactions.
• Any attempt to recover the disputed amount from me, or to levy interest, penalties, or late payment charges thereon, would be unjustified and contrary to fair banking practices.
• Payment of any other genuine transaction appearing in my statement, including LIC-related transactions, cannot and should not be construed as acceptance of the disputed fraudulent transactions.
