Dispute Description
Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to raise a complaint regarding the incorrect reporting of my auto loan account (ending with 3401).
I have paid all the EMIs of my loan. I also have payment receipts for every EMI. However, due to a wrong entry made by the bank, one EMI of ₹1, 619 was incorrectly recorded as ₹619. As you can see in my statement on 31 march 2009 receipt number are also matched with statement narration record Because of this single incorrect entry, my loan has been reported as Written-off, and my credit report now wrongly shows 36 late payments, which has severely damaged my CIBIL score.
I request the bank to:
Investigate the incorrect entry of ₹619 instead of ₹1, 619.
Correct the loan records.
Update all credit bureaus (CIBIL, CRIF High Mark, Experian and Equifax) by removing the incorrect Written-off status and late payment history.
Issue my No Objection Certificate (NOC) and Loan Closure Letter after rectification.
I have attached copies of my EMI payment receipts as proof.

I dispute the accuracy of the information being reported by ICICI Bank in respect of this loan account. The account information/payment history appears to be incorrect.
On 31 March 2009, an amount of ₹1, 619 was paid as evidenced by the original ICICI receipt available with me. However, the loan statement issued by ICICI appears to reflect only ₹619, creating a discrepancy of ₹1, 000.
I have documentary evidence including the original ₹1, 619 receipt, payment receipts and the official ICICI loan statement. I have requested ICICI Bank to verify its records and correct the reporting.
I also dispute any reporting of overdue, settled, written-off or similar adverse status to the extent that such reporting is based on the disputed/inaccurately recorded payment information.
Please register this as a formal dispute, mark the disputed account information as Under Dispute, and obtain verification from ICICI Bank. I request correction of the credit information if ICICI is unable to substantiate the adverse information with accurate underlying records.
I am attaching documentary evidence supporting my dispute.

RBI CMS Complaint No. N[protected]
Dear Principal Nodal Officer,
I am constrained to escalate this matter once again due to the continued failure of ICICI Bank to rectify the incorrect reporting of my loan account to the credit bureau, despite repeated complaints, documentary evidence and sufficient opportunity having been provided to the Bank.
The matter concerns a payment dated[protected]. I am in possession of the original payment receipt for Rs. 1, 619/-. However, the records/statement provided by ICICI Bank reflect credit of only Rs. 619/-, resulting in a disputed short-credit of Rs. 1, 000/-.
More importantly, the receipt/reference particulars are traceable in the loan statement issued by ICICI Bank itself. Therefore, this is not a matter where I am merely making an unsupported allegation. I have documentary evidence establishing the payment and the discrepancy in the Bank's records.
Despite submitting the original receipts, including the said receipt, and the official loan statement, ICICI Bank has failed to provide a satisfactory resolution. I was also asked to make a payment of Rs. 1, 200/- for resolving/improving the credit bureau position. I categorically reject any such demand. I shall not make any payment towards rectification of an error/discrepancy which is not attributable to me.
I have already escalated this matter to the Reserve Bank of India under CMS Complaint No. N[protected], registered on[protected].
In view of the above, I hereby call upon ICICI Bank to:
Conduct a complete investigation of the loan account and the payment dated[protected];
Reconcile the original receipt of Rs. 1, 619/- with the Bank's own loan/account records;
Rectify any incorrect or incomplete accounting/reporting found in the Bank's records;
Immediately submit the correct and factually accurate information to all concerned Credit Information Companies, including CIBIL;
Ensure that no incorrect “Settled”, “Written Off”, overdue or other adverse status remains reported against the account if such status is not factually justified;
Provide me with a written confirmation of the correction/reporting made to the Credit Information Companies; and
Provide a written explanation identifying the basis on which the Bank previously recorded/credited only Rs. 619/- against a payment for which I possess a receipt of Rs. 1, 619/-.
Please treat this email as a final formal escalation before the appropriate regulatory and other legal remedies are pursued on the basis of the documentary evidence available with me.
I reserve all my rights and remedies available under applicable law, including pursuing the matter before the appropriate regulatory/forum and seeking appropriate relief for the continued incorrect reporting, inconvenience and financial/reputational consequences caused to me.
I specifically request that the Bank not close this complaint merely by offering a settlement/payment option. The issue is disputed accounting and incorrect credit reporting, and requires factual verification and correction.
Kindly provide a reasoned written response and documentary confirmation of corrective action, rather than another extension of the resolution timeline.
