ICICI Bank — Question

I am writing to raise a complaint regarding the charges applied to my ICICI Coral Credit Card after an ATM cash withdrawal.

In my statement dated 20 June 2026, I noticed a cash withdrawal fee of approximately ₹600 plus GST. I paid the entire outstanding amount on 27 June 2026.

However, in my next statement dated 20 July 2026, an additional interest charge of approximately ₹35 was applied. When I contacted customer care, I was informed that this interest was charged for the period between the cash withdrawal date and the statement date.

My concern is not only about the charges themselves but also about the lack of clear communication and transparency.

At the time I applied for and received the credit card, I was not clearly informed that ATM cash withdrawals would attract both a cash withdrawal fee and immediate daily interest from the date of withdrawal.
The statement dated 20 June 2026 showed the cash withdrawal fee but did not clearly indicate that interest would continue to accrue until the payment date or that an additional interest amount would appear in the next billing cycle.

Because of this lack of clear disclosure, I was unable to make an informed financial decision. Had these terms been clearly explained, I would not have used my credit card for an ATM cash withdrawal.

I therefore request that ICICI Bank:

Provide a detailed explanation of the applicable charges and interest calculation.
Clarify where these terms were prominently disclosed at the time the credit card was issued.
Review my case and reverse the cash withdrawal-related charges and interest as a one-time goodwill gesture, considering the lack of transparent communication.

I value my relationship with ICICI Bank and hope this matter can be resolved fairly. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will consider escalating the matter to the RBI Integrated Ombudsman.
