Icici Lombard — Motor vehicle claim cheating | |||||
I have written around 10 mails to customer support team and have not got any prompt reply. Below is my first concern which was raised to icici. This mail goes in regard of the cheating and fraud which i have faced for an accidental claim of my four wheeler vehicle. Trust me, this experience with icici lombard is the worst as i have never faced any problem with other car insurance companies. Intial service request no - [protected] Date - 25th november -when the survey was done by mr ankur sharma - [protected], he gave most of the weird reasons that your car has damages which had occurred earlier and not now and you will to bear 50 percent of the total damage. This came as a real shocker to me and i asked him to come to service station and explain the same to me, which he never did. Then i called up the customer care and they said they will take 10 days to respond to my query or i should contact his boss mr vivek. I called him like 10 times, but he never responded to my calls. Date - 26th nov - mr ankur promised me to meet me at the service centre to show his side of story on how there were few dents which were old and some fresh ones. He never showed up at the service center. I was getting repeated calls from service center to start the denting work. I had to finally ask the team to start the work of my car as i Date 27th then i had asked for pictures of my car from mr ankur of the survey which he had done. Never did he share the pictures of the car survey. Date 28 nov - one more shocker. Service center called up and said that the claim charges for your car is inr 2000. All companies have insurance claim charges as inr 1000 and when i had bought the policy, the salesman told that the file charges is 1000 only. Why i feel cheated and highly dissatisfied with icici 1. How can a surveyor decide what dent is new and what dent is old, my car was parked in the parking when this incident happened??? 2. The total bill was 6000, in which i had paid 3800 and icici paid 2200. The break up is 2000 file charges 4000 for repair. In which i had to bear 3800. Please understand if i would have not taken the claim, the total bill would have been 4000 only. 3. Now when i have taken a claim, this means i have already lost my next year no claim bonus which is approximately 5000. 4. Half of dent is clearly visible on one door which frustrates me. 5. Total loss - charges which should have been 1000 only costed me 3800. If the billing was 4000 only, i would have piad 4000 directly without incurring claim charges and also my next year no claim bonus is gone because of this. Total premium which was paid was 16000. If by paying i still have to bear so many expenses, i dont think so i will now ever use icici policy again and would strongly recommend all of my friends to not use any of the icici lombard products. Looking forward to a solution from icici lombard team. Need a prompt reply and this mail should be forwarded to mktng team also to let them know how customers are fooled. Also, i doubt the kind of training and development which is provided to your internal team after interacting with the surveyors.
